I've been doing a few things here and there this week, but not as much as I'd like.
Wool applique on Cheri's sampler. I'm doing a whipstitch so it's going pretty fast.
Here's block one on a collaboration. It will be revealed soon.
This weeks instagram feed if you missed it.

ReplyDeleteBoth of these appliqués look beautiful. Very curious about the collaboration. :0)
ReplyDeleteMaybe not as much as you'd like but I like what I see. You've used my favorite fabrics in your collaboration quilt. Can't wait to see more.
ReplyDeleteI've never really done much wool applique but if I did I would staple like you did. Love the sneak preview of your collaboration quilt. Hugs
ReplyDeleteLove how Cheri's sampler is coming--great colors that deep red against the gold is perfect hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteGreat projects in the works! Love the sneak peek! :)
ReplyDeleteI've tried your staple baste method and it doesn't work as well for me as it obviously does for you. But I am doing a class later in the year on wool applique and I am going to share your method with them. : )

Love that wool. Can't wait to see the other revealed!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you used what time you had in a productive way. I'm going to give the staple basting a try. The lilacs are lovely.
ReplyDeleteYour projects look good! I too had no luck w the staple basting, it was so hard to remove the staples w/out damaging the wool....
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of your mom with the gorgeous bouquet of lilacs.
Very nice!
ReplyDeleteNeedle turn applique! Looking forward to seeing what it is.
