I am doing these blocks by machine applique, which I like, but the downside is they are not portable! I ran out of corner diamonds and still need to do some embroidery. Yay! getting caught up on these a little.
I got these cute little dresses from Joan H. Thank you Joan! There is still time to make a dress if you want. I'm hoping to have them all collected and ready to go by the end of this month- mid October at the latest.
So nice to have a short week. Love to you all!!
Beautiful blocks! Did you mean you ran out of the fabric or just the cut diamonds? I think I have some of that red if you need it. Love the dresses.
ReplyDeleteHappy that you are getting some sewing time
ReplyDeleteI like the somewhat simple block with the stems, leaves, and berries. I have not worked on my blocks in a while. Too many other quilt projects that want attention.
ReplyDeleteIs your machine applique raw edge, and do you use a blanket stitch or zig-zag? I have done so little machine applique that I am not good at doing all the curves and angles, so this looks hard to me!
ReplyDeleteYou're very talented to do appliqué with your machine ...wow, the blocks are beautiful !
ReplyDeleteNice dresses from Joan ! :)

So glad you're finding time to sew! Blocks look great and those dresses are sweet :0)
ReplyDeleteThose are wonderful blocks and really sweet dresses. I need to get my mojo back, lots of projects and things I want to do, so hopefully I can get moving again when the humidity goes away;)

I am so intrigued by the corner diamonds in these blocks. Will have to think about that idea for a future quilt.:)
ReplyDeleteI love those blocks and sweet little dresses!
ReplyDeleteI love the appliqué blocks! The little dresses are adorable. Portability is the good thing about hand work, but the machine is so much faster! I have started knitting socks so I have some handwork to do when I don't have a quilt to bind. Also, a little embroidery.
