Good morning and happy Monday!
I've had my Beyond the Cherry Tree Quilt (find it HERE)out for a few weeks and am slowly
getting more hand quilting stitches in.
I think I have 7 blocks (out of 25 total) to quilt. I have quilted around the applique shapes (not the border yet) and quilted motifs that the original quilt had. Now, I'm doing my best to do cross hatching.
My lines have gotten off, but that will make this quilt a bit more humble like the rest of my quilts.
Here are my simple supplies.
Have a wonderful day friends!
Beautiful!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Lori!! I am being shamed into finally doing more stitching on a quilt I've had in a hoop for months without touching it.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is absolutely beatiful! I wish that some day I will do regular and tiny stitches like yours! I use Gutterman or CCC threads.
ReplyDeleteHugs!
I didn't know James made a large eye quilting needle. I definitely need these.
ReplyDeleteYour quilting and quilt are beautifully done. I have never used that type of thread, will have to try it.

ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful and so special with all that hand work!
ReplyDeleteI know you have to be so looking forward to a finish on this quilt. You have kept plugging away at the quilting. Every little bit puts you one step closer to the end. I am cheering you on! I need to prep another block for this quilt pattern. I started one and it got set to the side before Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI love this quilt. Your quilting looks beautiful!! I struggle as well to keep those lines from going off and correcting without being too obvious (hopefully). It will be so worth it!!
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful! All those berries amaze me. I love how you don't rush this project, and just keep at it. Nothing makes a quilt as special as hand quilting and yours is lovely.
ReplyDeleteLove to see that our BTCT quilts are still not forgotten. I wish I had had the patience to handquilt mine. Handquilting makes it even more "made with love".
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!

Beautiful quilt! The hand stitching makes it extra special and I doubt it will be considered "humble" by anyone.
ReplyDeleteThis is just so lovely! I can't imagine hand quilting (I'm still working on piecing! :) and I'm awed by your progress. I can't wait to see it finished.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Good to know about which needles to use.
ReplyDeleteThe humble look is what makes us love them even more! Your hand stitching looks like it was designed perfectly for this quilt. Such a beautiful classic look.:)
