Brick Wall of Wabash County

I'm so excited to share this finish with you! My friend Kat and I started working on this quilt June 2017 when we went to a quilt show in Rochester NY and saw a quilt and pattern by Tara Lynn Darr. It is based on an antique from Wabash County, Indiana.

Kat and I traded blues and backgrounds so we would have a large variety of fabric for this quilt.

I thought it was fitting that she quilted it for me too.
The quilt is hanging sideways because we had snow, hail and rain and I didn't want to get the quilt muddy.

I changed the cut off date for signing up for the little quilt swap. Sign ups and fast and furious!!
Happy Monday!

    1. Lori and I have been friends for 20 years and have done this many times making a quilt when we get together. The first time we took a class at Sisters Quilt Show , making the same quilt called Sisters Through OH. A combination of Sisters Choice blocks and Ohio Star blocks. The perfect quilt for us. Lori is in OR, home of Sisters, and I live in OH. I think of our adventures whenever I see those quilts commemoration our friendship and visits!

  15. I love this piece. Yes, swapping out the blues makes for a fabulous selection of prints. And super that she is a quilter as well. I love everything about this piece. I might be hitting you up for some cowboy prints and now I see all these blues, I might throw in a little begging for those as well. I am working on a long term blue/cream quilt, little T blocks. And started a cowboy themed quilt for my great niece. I'll share a few pics soon

  18. I love this blue and white beauty! Swapping your fabrics was an awesome idea. This reminds me that I still haven't made myself a blue and white quilt.

  19. I love your quilt, it reminded me that I have that pattern, I got it out and started cutting pieces out this morning. Guess you didn't have a issue with some of the darker beige touching each other. (I might) I don't have enough fabric to cut everything out and it's going to be a struggle to find additional whites----quilt shop near me is mostly modern fabrics.
