I'm not a garment sewer but I sewed two garments! LOL Grammatically that sounded terrible!
I've never worn my garments outside of Houston quilt show (except my apron which hangs in my kitchen) because I'm just not that happy with them.
But, I wore this to church yesterday!
But will probably only wear this in Houston.
Nothing wrong with a challenge, right??
Have a wonderful day!
I think it turned out great. It looks like a great little jacket to throw on in the summer when you go to the grocery and you know it is going to be freezing in there.
ReplyDeleteGreat! I like both of them! I’ll see you in Houston 😊
ReplyDeleteI think that jacket would be a great quilt guild outfit. Be wild - even wear it to church!
ReplyDeleteLooks great!
ReplyDeletelately I have been thinking more and more about trying garment sewing...there are so many wonderful fabrics/prints to chose from when you sew your own clothes!
ReplyDeleteLooking good! And it's two more garments than I've sewn so no judgement from me!
ReplyDeleteBoth garments are great, beautiful and flattering. The jacket is lovely with your hair and coloring. Beautiful work! lizzy
ReplyDeleteI really like the jacket. I would wear it often.
ReplyDeleteWhat inspired you to try to sew garments? I use to make all my own clothes out of necessity and now can't stand the thought of it! I think these tops both came out really nicely, good job :0) for hanging with it. Happy Sewing Lori!
ReplyDeleteBoth look good with your leggings. You made it through the garment making quite well considering the problems the jacket was giving you.
ReplyDeleteBoth of those outfits look wonderful to me. You should be proud. I haven't made garments in years myself. I know we all get in our own ruts when it comes to clothing, at least I know that I do. Wasn't quite so rigid when I was younger.
ReplyDeleteThey look great! I love the jacket!
ReplyDeleteYou look good in both of them! Enjoy Houston. Your autumn leaves look pretty!
ReplyDeleteYour garments look great. I've tried my hand at it but not much success. They look good on you too! Good job.
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding? They are both lovely and I think you should wear them everywhere! Good job!

ReplyDeleteThey are both gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome job...on both of them! Inspires me to get back to some garment sewing. Jackets and vests are my favorites to make. Can you share the pattern names that you made? I like your jacket a lot!

They look wonderful! I would love to sew my own clothes, tired of not finding what I want in stores. I love wearing knee length dresses over tights to church in the winter, nice way to stay warm and comfy.
ReplyDeleteDebbie
I made that jacket too. I wear mine to work all the time. Will probably be bringing to Houston too. Comfortable!
ReplyDeleteGreat job and you wear them well.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a garment sewer too but you realized a perfect job !

Both are fine but I love the jacket! It turned out great and the fabric choices look intentional.
