I'm not a garment sewer but I sewed two garments! LOL Grammatically that sounded terrible!

I've never worn my garments outside of Houston quilt show (except my apron which hangs in my kitchen) because I'm just not that happy with them.

But, I wore this to church yesterday!

But will probably only wear this in Houston.

Nothing wrong with a challenge, right??

Have a wonderful day!

  1. I think it turned out great. It looks like a great little jacket to throw on in the summer when you go to the grocery and you know it is going to be freezing in there.

  8. What inspired you to try to sew garments? I use to make all my own clothes out of necessity and now can't stand the thought of it! I think these tops both came out really nicely, good job :0) for hanging with it. Happy Sewing Lori!

  9. Both look good with your leggings. You made it through the garment making quite well considering the problems the jacket was giving you.

  10. Both of those outfits look wonderful to me. You should be proud. I haven't made garments in years myself. I know we all get in our own ruts when it comes to clothing, at least I know that I do. Wasn't quite so rigid when I was younger.

  17. They look wonderful! I would love to sew my own clothes, tired of not finding what I want in stores. I love wearing knee length dresses over tights to church in the winter, nice way to stay warm and comfy.
