Vintage Quilt Wednesday

Here's another one of my vintage quilts. This one has been used and loved.

What a happy collision of fabrics and prints!
Some blocks are much more controlled.
Love the red and white sashing! Trying out a new setting for the blocks, perhaps?

A flannel blanket was used instead of batting.
         Love this happy backing!!

I hope your week is wonderful.

  4. Beautiful old quilt! I love the old fabrics and the way they put them together. I'm not in to "matchy matchy" so the scrappier the better in my mind. Thanks for sharing!

  6. That is a lovely vintage quilt and it does show the love. I'm really intrigued by the block itself with the diamonds in the 4 quadrants. This may be something to try to recreate.

  7. Very fun to see the close up view of these funky, vintage fabrics. Too bad about the fabrics wearing away, but like the Velveteen Rabbit, it just makes the quilt more real.

  8. This pattern is great!!! I copied an old quilt similar but without the dashing. Photo in a day or so! Love yours.
