Historic Portuguese fabric now residing in my sewing room!
Taken from outside the shop in Porto.
And a few more lovely historic fabrics made in Portugal!
Just heading to the quilt shop on an old cobblestone road.
There it is!
The woman working was very sweet!
Get more info HERE They have been producing these historic fabrics and linens in Portugal since 1905!
Fabrica actually means factory, but I couldn't help thinking I hit the fabrica jackpot!
This was a different shop we walked by. The dress in the center really caught my eye!
We did browse through this one.
No purchases were made.
Lots of cork! Love the patterns.
The world's top producer, supplying over half of the world's cork.
Quilt designs everywhere!
I hope you are having a wonderful week!
What a beautiful post!
ReplyDeleteThat cobblestone street! That fabric reminds me of Michelle Yeo fabric.
ReplyDeleteFascinating and enriching experience for you. You're such a good traveler. I'd be by the pool w an umbrella cocktail. The fabrics at the post beginning are marvelous. Esp love the second one with the birds---Turkey! Pheasants, so cool.

Oh my! I would have bought that second fabric just for the turkey—and there were at least two other beautiful birds! Thank you for sharing all your photos of Portugal!
