Monday Muse

Here are 2 "sardines" I picked up in Portugal. You saw a lot of this pattern on towels, fabric and tchotch's  but these were a bit different. Made from linen and in a small boutique store that offered classes. When we stopped in people were painting tiles! These were heavy like a well made pin cushion and I loved how they were decorated.

Speaking of sardines.....

There are entire stores dedicated to sardines!

The dates for fun, not the date they were canned! lol

We did bring some home and generally I'm not a sardine girl.

Last week the Stitchin' Post in Sisters had their yearly pajama sale with 20% off and if you were in PJ's you could get an extra discount.  It was a great time to catch up with my friend Christy.

Here are a few shots from the shop. One wall is dedicated to quilt exhibits.

We changed out of our PJ's had a lovely cuppa joe and then went to a holiday bazaar. Not quite thinking Christmas yet, but bought my sis a little vintage photo.

UPDATE: I'm finally feeling better! Pretty sure it was covid I had. Today I'm planning on going back to the gym. I've been working out at home (easy and chill) but between vacation to Portugal and illness it has been a month!

My Summit Stitches is basted and hope to get quilting this week.
Also working on the Bible Quilt that Juliann donated to Faith Seeds cause.

Speaking of Faith Seeds the trip to Guatemala is back on for the first week of February!

My saved photos are overflowing so I have made slide shows and added them to YouTube. I've only got a few new ones for now, but plan on adding a lot more. Basically they will be travel, missions, quilts, hiking. Feel free to take a look HERE.  If you want to be notified of a new video uploaded you can subscribe. They are novice videos, but I'm trying!

Also, I've added new items to my Etsy store and have put some completed quilts on sale. Check it out HERE if you'd like.

Thank you for reading Humble Quilts!!

Let's all have a wonderful week!

  1. The days of Covid isolation are past, I guess. I m glad you're feeling better. Aren't the folk art sardines adorable! Too big for your Christmas Tree? The wall of 50 year old sardines is funny. You're such a good traveler.
