Years ago I used to meet my SIL in WA state and we would attend the Sewing and Stitchery Expo. This year we were able to go!
For those of you who have attended my trunk shows this is the SIL that I took my first class with in Sisters with Jean Wells!
Not one thing was purchased but we saw a lot of quilts with sheep!
We made it to a couple of antique stores and saw a few overpriced beautiful quilts.
I thought the quilting on this was unique. (see next photo)
Oh that sashing fabric!
The zig zag border is always appealing to me.
Loved the homespun backing of the pink and brown.
I thought Lincoln and Mary were so cute!!
We got to my great niece's soccer game right as it was over. The sky was so pretty but it was cold!!
I had a bit of a set back with my cold- so annoying!!
Happy March!
How fun that you were able to get together with your sister-in-law for the expo again!
ReplyDeleteI especially love the vintage quilts you found in the antique stores--the "ghost quilting" of the Sunbonnet Sue is interesting. So many things I love about those old quilts.
Love the applique orange basket with tulips : )
ReplyDeleteIf it wasn't buried I would have taken it out for a better photo! It was a beauty!
