Today I'll share the rest of the quilt...oh yeah! I finished the hand quilting, so it is done!
Here's my backing! When I saw it in my stash I thought it was perfect!
You may be able to see I machine quilted in the ditch between the blocks. My hands don't tolerate too much hand quilting anymore.
I do simple labels. Ever since I killed my printer printing a fabric label I stick with my own hand writing now.
Large squares and smaller squares I hand stitched on the diagonal. I did use my Hera marker to mark the line. Then I hand stitched on the dark blue/star points.
I wasn't sure it would be enough but I washed it and it looks great!
Thanks for sewing along. I'll put up a linky soon so we can see them all in one place.
French inspiration!
I haven't talked about Elsa lately.
She's doing so good!
When we went to France and Germany my daughter, niece and nephews took turns staying at the house. It would be pretty hard on the ole gal to be at the kennels for 2 weeks. She was so relaxed when we got home, it was a great idea.
It feels like we have found the right combination of meds and glucosamine (we switched to Wuffes and can tell a huge difference!) She goes in her toy bin and comes out with the ball. We throw it a few times and she's happy with that.
She loves to camp and loves little Zack!
I hope you are having an amazing week. Happy Sewing!
