Wild Country USA!

We have been in Wyoming staying on our property, trying to figure out a game plan for moving forward to build here.
I got the binding complete on the little flag quilt.
I thought I'd take the opportunity to have a little photo op before we leave!

For the desert at 6000' elevation we have a array of wildflowers.
And prickly pear cactus.

Most nights we have had amazing sunsets.

We went hiking on a day the weather was not going to be too hot.

Thanks for traveling along with me! Have a wonderful weekend!

Quilts Bring People Together!

Good morning! I love how quilts bring people together! I was invited by Cheryl from Lander, WY to her quilt guild! For a small community it has a very active quilt group. I love that!
This is one vintage block for their fundraising quilt raffle.  It is cross stitched and so sweet!

If you'd like to purchase tickets let me know and I'll hook you up!

Hi Cheryl! So happy to meet you last night!

There are many quilt shows and retreats coming up- it all sounds so fun! We are sure hoping the price of lumber drops soon!

My photos for show and tell didn't work out too good. (I asked permission to share them here, but didn't want to go all paparazzi!)

This quilt was massive and the maker hand quilted small fans all over- you know that's one of my favs.

The machine quilting here was beautiful.

This one and the one below are called 3 yard quilts. I've never heard of that specific pattern- but it takes 3 yards of 3 fabrics.

This western one was so cute!

From a distance this one looks like it should be made with squares and strips- yes and no, as you can see the construction starts with strips then is cut as  triangle.

And this has been our morning view and evening sunset.

Thank you to all are new from The Applique Society trunk show I did. I appreciate all your kind words! I hope you all are having an amazing week!
