Les Bleus d’Alsace 2026 Quiltalong- Part 2- Time to Sew!

We will start sewing!

I'm going to tell you how I did this step and if you have a better way, feel free to use it!

I took my 96 1 1/2" squares and pressed them in half, wrong sides together.

Then I laid it on the 2 1/2" width dark blue, as shown.

I sewed just a thread or two away from the pressed line (toward the corner) .

Press, then add the other square to the other side.

The 2 squares I added on the end I used the same fabric.

When the rectangle was nice and pressed I trimmed any peekaboo pieces from the squares.

You should have 24 rectangles with triangles on each end.

Ta-Da! That's it for today. It was a tad tedious, but that is the "hardest part"

My week at a glance:

Hit a deer.

Went camping

Then drove to Idaho for my nephew's wedding!

It was Eastern Orthodox and very beautiful and meaningful.

All of the family was dressed up and together!

Love One Another.

Have a great week.
