Here's a little quilt I just finished last night. I haven't even washed it yet.
I'm calling it Hamilton Ridge since that is where we camped last weekend and I got most of the hand quilting completed while there. Am waiting to hear from one person about a quilt she may or may not have sent (not international) My intent is to send this to the person who hasn't received a quilt in the swap.
Here is my inspiration antique little quilt. I'm positive I made one similar for a swap in the past. I really love this!!
Hamilton Ridge
I'm sure a fire had gone through this area in the past and this lovely green is growing here now.
Such stately ponderosa pine trees that withstood a forest fire.
I've really enjoyed getting away from people, tv, and news! I will say this trip was COLD!
I'm leaving again and likely will not post on Friday.
Make it a great week!
Lovely mini quilt. Also, thanks for sharing the scenery and your camper. I really do miss the camping days. We had so much fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet quilt. Happy you are able to get away from it all.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your sweet little finish! Naming it where you quilted it is a good way to hold that memory.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful location you chose for camping. The little quilt is very cute. It would look good on a large scale too I think.
ReplyDeleteI like the quilt name and what it represents to you. Like the blues in the quilt.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little quilt! I love everything about it. I haven't seen my quilt from Italy yet, but I will let you know when it arrives. I got a package from Cecile (in France) yesterday so I am encouraged that things are moving albeit slowly! What a gorgeous spot for camping.
ReplyDeleteI love your little quilt! Your camping site is beautiful. We went camping, also, but the wind blew so hard that we did not even get the boat in the water and I had doubts that we should be in the camper! The wind has blown non-stop at about 30+ miles an hour since last Friday. It really wears on a person. I am home, "on-call" today- so hoping to find some stitching time. Enjoy your day and your next adventure! xo
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place to spend some time. We sold our camper when we moved here to Georgia and I miss those trips. It got to be more than DH wanted to deal with. Do you ever go hug a ponderosa and sniff that wonderful bark?
ReplyDeleteThe name, the beautiful wilderness area, and your quilt plus your antique inspiration, all are perfect together.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful spot and lovely little quilt. Enjoy your time away!

ReplyDeleteI love this little quilt, especially the way the stripes wave diagonally across, just perfect!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job reproducing that little quilt, Lori!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely area to camp. Didn't know you had a camper--it seemed like you were always packing in and using a tent. If it is going to be cold, it is good that you can be up off the ground.
Love your little quilt, Lori! The antique one is sew sweet too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little quilt! Love the name, too. Looks like a great area to do some camping. I always enjoy your adventures!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt as always !!
