Doll Quilt Finish

I managed to get the binding sewn down this past weekend on the doll quilt! I decided to hand quilt it so now I feel like my quilt stitch is warmed up enough to get out my Dear Jane and continue with some hand quilting on it too. Hmmm, I'll see if I can get more then 5 blocks quilted this fall/winter!
If you are a new reader to my blog you can see the old quilt I copied on this post.

  1. This is so cute. Approximately what size is it?

I admire to do hand quilting BIG TIME because I'm afraid to

  2. What a sweet quilt, Lori. I'm presently working on my Dear Jane blocks. I'm just about finished row 5. With DJ, it's one baby step at a time. Do you have a picture of your DJ quilt on your blog?

  6. What a great idea with the lemoyne block..I have a few that didn't make the cut in the quilt. I think I can make a couple and put them in our Mini quilt auction.
It's just a darling little thing.
I am more afraid of the machine quilting then the hand quilting.

  9. I love that little quilt! It's a great showcase of a lot of different fabrics. Did you hand piece or machine piece? Your quilting stitch looks great; very even.

  20. You did a really nice job copying the little quilt. I love making doll quilts - I get to try new patterns, new fabrics, new techniques, and finish in a reasonable time! And of course, my dolls always appreciate them which makes my granddaughter happy.
