I made this free-style quilt while visiting my friend in Ohio. The pattern gave you a formula for making the baskets but that was about it. The applique is done all by machine, and if I remember right I was hand sewing the binding down on the way to the airport. I wanted it to be completed entirely in Ohio!! (no, I wasn't driving!)
Here's a Country Threads pattern that was a lot of fun to make. I leave this one up all winter. If we have a lot of snow everyone begs me to take it down!!
Here is a fun little sampler I did with friends. I think what makes this quilt so charming is the sashing and setting triangles. Sometimes I put this one on my table, this year I opted to hang it up.
I've joined SewCalGal's Virtual Christmas Show. Check out the great quilts posted.
These quilts are beautiful. Do you put your quilts in quilt shows? I got the photos up from the one I went to on Saturday, and yours would've been wonderful in it!

I have always liked that Country Threads pattern. You did a great job on it and my fingers are crossed for lots of snow this year. We haven't had much at all in ages.
ReplyDeleteThose quilts are great! It's a shame that we can't leave them up all year and enjoy them. But then again, it's always so nice to revisit them the following year.
ReplyDeleteYou Let It Snow quilt is so darling. I think it would be great to leave up all winter. It's a great looking quilt.
