What a wonderful experience! When I called, they said there wasn't a book but I've heard now there will be. I'm really happy about that but your experience was way better!
Hi Lori- looks like the adventure continued after we left. Fantastic to meet up with you and thank you soooooooooooo much for my little quilt. It is a keeper as are you. Will post pictures of us later.
Ohh, lucky girl! I'm devouring each and every picture. I love the simplicity of red and white quilts. Is this something they do every year? Or was is a special once in a lifetime and I missed it?
Is that Barb from Fun with Barb? How cool!!! I'm betting she would be an awesome quiltshow mate! I saw the Martha Stewart show segment on the show the day before yesterday, and it's such an amazing display!! SOOO glad you had a great experience with it!! I'll just bet we see some red and white cropping up here at Humble Quilts! :-D Blessings, Mary Lou
it was just incredible, I am so sorry our schedules didn't work out to be there the same day... Happy that you had a wonderful time and were able to see this in person. no words to really describe it is there? Kathie
It's wonderful that there is so many bloggers sharing the exhibit, what an amazing experience. I heard a rumor that it could travel to other countries.
I have to agree with my friend Jean, she said "this is like missing Woodstock or the March on Washington or someother big event. I should have gone, I should have dropped everything and rushed to NYC to see this amazing exhibit!" But thanks to everyone who is sharing their experience and pictures for all of us to enjoy.
Lucky, lucky you. I love New York. I was there a few years ago and noticed that everyone visiting there was as excited as we were, visitors from overseas as well as those from another US state. So much to see and so much to do.
Welcome home from one of the trips of a lifetime. Thank you for these photos. You've shared some really great photographs, Lori. You have a good eye and captured quite a lot for us to see. And I have to say that, of course, there's nothing better than having good friends to share with. A moment like this is meant to be shared! :) Congrats to all y'all.
Glad you had a wonderful time and got to meet up with friends, AND made it home safe and sound. The quilt show looks just amazing, and can't wait to hear your impression of it!
I've enjoyed reading about this exhibit on several blogs. There's a similar impression of awe and amazement from so many who saw all those red and white beauties in person. And I can't get over how many of you were able to meet blogging friends. Love the photos!
I'm so glad you were able to get to NYC to see it, Lori.
Looks like you had an amazing time. The exhibit seems to have been a success. So many of you have been there. Thanks for sharing some pictures with me. Awesome quilts. Wishing I would have time to make at least one replica :).
Isn't it nice that the quilt blogs have linked up so many quilters who may never have met. Yet alone gotten to know one another and cheered each other on. :)
