Here's a little red and white ditty I finished this week. I plan on making a bigger red and white quilt this year. It's on the list - For sure!!

Isn't Sunday the first day of spring? I can do without the snow!

I hesitate to tell you it was in the mid-70's here today. Getting cooler this weekend though.

  7. Lori -- I love your little red quilt -- especially the scrappy look of it. It's just my style, and it would be a great set for a redwork quilt.

I'm sorry to hear about your snow, but it's a nice photo -- are those Ponderosa pines?

  10. Lori, I think you little red and white quilt is very very cute. It was 85 in the Dallas Fort Worth area today, way too early to suit me.

  11. So cute - the quilt, not the snow.

  12. Another winner! The shirting and red fabric are wonderful, and like I always say, "I want to make a big one just like that for my bed!" Hopefully Spring is just around the corner. They are worried about floods here, but at least my flood insurance is up to date!

  22. Red and white is definitely the theme of the year. Nature is joining in, but the red will follow soon with the spring!

  24. Cute little red and white quilt!

I hope spring makes it's way to you soon. It's certainly left my neck of the woods. 86 today. Ugh!

  25. Snow! Not something I would be happy about. Pack your bags and come see me.

Your new little red & white piece had the "old" look and that suits me to a "T" (wonder how that phrase came into being). I think many quilt bloggers are going to be doing something in red & white this year. I had better jump on the band wagon. I was looking in my collection of quilts for red & white and I only have one. Two others have some black in the mix so that doesn't count.

  26. Love your little red & white quilt. We had hot weather on Friday - in the 80's - which is hot when you are loading a camper. I am not ready for summer. Spring in TX can be pretty hot also.

  32. I'm getting the urge to make a wall hanging sized red and white quilt in honor of the museum exhibit. I usually don't like to stick to just two, three or four fabrics or color because I get bored. I'm a scrappy gal all the way.

  33. Love the quilt! And that you have a shirting in it that's not just red and white. I think it really adds to quilt.

Snow? I woke this morning to sun in my eyes! Let's just say I was as surprised as if it had been snowing here. We've had nothing but gray rain for what seems like ever. I hope it warms up there.

I vote for "no more snow" -- DEFINITELY!

  38. I like your little "ditty." I hope to make a big-ish red and white this year but am having trouble deciding which pattern to use. I am thinking maybe baskets... Yes, we are all ready to leave winter behind us.

I too really want to make one this year to commemorate the exhibit.
    See you soon!

  43. I like what you did with the red and white mini quilt. The tiny blocks of red sure set off the printed shirtings nicely. I'd like to try one like this in honor of the red and white quilt show in NY.
