OUCH to the snow!! What's with that?? Love the red and white quilt...it's perfect!! Now I want to make one...just add it to the list! Take care and stay warm! P
Another winner! The shirting and red fabric are wonderful, and like I always say, "I want to make a big one just like that for my bed!" Hopefully Spring is just around the corner. They are worried about floods here, but at least my flood insurance is up to date!
Snow! Not something I would be happy about. Pack your bags and come see me.
Your new little red & white piece had the "old" look and that suits me to a "T" (wonder how that phrase came into being). I think many quilt bloggers are going to be doing something in red & white this year. I had better jump on the band wagon. I was looking in my collection of quilts for red & white and I only have one. Two others have some black in the mix so that doesn't count.
Love your little red & white quilt. We had hot weather on Friday - in the 80's - which is hot when you are loading a camper. I am not ready for summer. Spring in TX can be pretty hot also.
I love your little red & white quilt!!! It looks as though it was made 100 years ago! and that is a compliment! it has a wonderful scrappy look, just gorgeous!!!
oh boy I hope the snow is over here! almost 70 yesterday! beautiful sunny days lately, lets hope it stays that way love your little quilt, very nice! think we all are going to be collecting reds the next few months! Kathie
I'm getting the urge to make a wall hanging sized red and white quilt in honor of the museum exhibit. I usually don't like to stick to just two, three or four fabrics or color because I get bored. I'm a scrappy gal all the way.
Love the quilt! And that you have a shirting in it that's not just red and white. I think it really adds to quilt.
Snow? I woke this morning to sun in my eyes! Let's just say I was as surprised as if it had been snowing here. We've had nothing but gray rain for what seems like ever. I hope it warms up there.
I like your little "ditty." I hope to make a big-ish red and white this year but am having trouble deciding which pattern to use. I am thinking maybe baskets... Yes, we are all ready to leave winter behind us.
More Snow??? I hope Spring is on its way, I remember one year heading out for Easter Sunrise Service in snow boots & chains on the tires.....LOL.. Love your red and shirtings blocks, they are lovely. Wendy
I like what you did with the red and white mini quilt. The tiny blocks of red sure set off the printed shirtings nicely. I'd like to try one like this in honor of the red and white quilt show in NY.

ReplyDeleteI hesitate to tell you it was in the mid-70's here today. Getting cooler this weekend though.

ReplyDeleteLori -- I love your little red quilt -- especially the scrappy look of it. It's just my style, and it would be a great set for a redwork quilt.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about your snow, but it's a nice photo -- are those Ponderosa pines?
Red and White - it's so pretty! Snow = NO!!
ReplyDeleteLove your little quilt - it's adorable.
ReplyDeleteWe're hitting the 90's already - ugh! Sorry you're getting more snow.
Lori, I think you little red and white quilt is very very cute. It was 85 in the Dallas Fort Worth area today, way too early to suit me.
ReplyDeleteSo cute - the quilt, not the snow.

ReplyDeleteOh BOO on the snow! Love your red and white. All those shirtings are just wonderful!
ReplyDeleteRed and white is definitely the theme of the year. Nature is joining in, but the red will follow soon with the spring!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely little teaser to make you hungry for a big one. I bet you'll decide after the exhibit.
ReplyDeleteCute little red and white quilt!
ReplyDeleteI hope spring makes it's way to you soon. It's certainly left my neck of the woods. 86 today. Ugh!

Ohh! I'd forgotten we are approaching the first official day of spring. That brightened my day.
ReplyDeleteThis seems to be the year of red-and-white quilts, thanks to the exhibit in NY. You made a cute one. I like the various fabrics in it.
ReplyDeleteI vote for "no more snow" -- DEFINITELY!
A big hands up for red and white - so much charm - lovely Lori!
ReplyDeleteHugs - Lurline♥
Yes, Snow be gone!
ReplyDeleteLove your red and white Quilt.
I have never made a bed size red and white quilt. This year will be a good one to start.
