I got my first issue today of a new quilt magazine called Primitive Quilts and Projects. Wow! I love everything about it- even the advertisements look wonderful and prim!
If you like Bonnie Blue, Lisa Bongean, Primitive Pieces by Lynda, Cheri Payne and Jan Patek (to name a few) then I would recommend a subscription. I want to make one of each!!
This is my lame attempt to decorate for Easter. The poor lone bunny has been in the wooden bowl for a couple of weeks now and I only noticed how stupid it looks. I think I have some plastic eggs I could put in the bowl, but seriously I think it would make it look worse.
Have a lovely Sunday!
I can't wait to get my copy! I'm sure it is great.
ReplyDeleteI am still waiting for mine, can't wait to see it.
ReplyDeleteThat poor bunny, she needs some friends, lol.
Debbie
I'll have to pick up a copy - looks like great fun. Bunny dear needs a chick or two to hang out with!
ReplyDeleteI got mine today, too, Lori and I love it.
ReplyDeletePoor bunny - the Wabbit Daze Gang are talking about coming to save her. :-)
Thanks for the review. I just saw an ad for this and it looked really good, I'm getting tired of my quilting magazines, so this might be a nice change.
ReplyDeleteOh, I am jealous. You got your magazine before me.
ReplyDeleteThat bunny needs some friends. Or maybe jelly beans.
Doing better than me at the Easter decorations, the only decorating i can claim are my chickens eggs!
ReplyDeleteI literally run to the mailbox every day looking for my issue, and my Mom is calling me almost every day asking if I've got mine yet (we both live in California). It looks wonderful - can't wait. I usually can't get too excited about decorating for Easter either - too much natural wonder going on outside!
ReplyDeleteI've been so looking forward to that magazine! Can't wait to get my hands on it!
ReplyDeletePoor little bunny, needs a little quilt....
ReplyDeleteyou are funny...
ReplyDeletei just got mine in the mail today too! Love Love Love....everything!!!
The new magazine should do well, isn't it great when you love everything inside!
ReplyDeleteguess I need to order this magazine, if you love it then I will too, any idea can you buy it at Barnes and Noble?
ReplyDeleteLOL love the lone bunny! EAster decorating gets pushed aside some how, maybe I need to go find that easter box of decorations too!

ReplyDeleteThe bunny is cute... maybe just a little grass or some material scraps (in a pinch)... will help him sit up...
: )
Oh goody - I subscribed too, but haven't gotten mine yet - hopefully tomorrow! I'm laughing about your decorations. If it makes you feel better, you have out more than I do!!
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to getting my hands on a copy. It should arrive in our LQS soon.
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about this new magazine but am always hesitant to subscribe at the beginning. I appreciate your review and just may do it!
ReplyDeleteThe SECOND I saw bunny inthe empty bowl, I thought of adding those little chocolate paper-wrapped eggs. 8-))
ReplyDeleteI hope I will get mine here in the Netherlands...thanks for you're reaction by the way!
ReplyDeleteYour Easter rabbit just needs a few friends to share his big bowl with!!! I'm sure with company he will look a little happier LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteYour new magazine looks very interesting, maybe in your next post you could tease us a little by showing a few pics of the inside! Don't know if we will be getting it here (Australia)!
I'll be on the look out for this magazine!
ReplyDeletel also took out a subscription, but mine will probably take a week to get here. Can't wait. Thanks for letting us know its on its way!!

OMG girl -- you are so funny! That poor little bunny looks like he's in pain, resting on his bony little backside in the hard (yet lovely) bowl. I had a good laugh when I saw him. How cruel to laugh at his loneliness.
ReplyDeleteGreat suggestions already. He could rest in a nest of almost anything --plastic grass, jelly beans, chocolate candies. Or go with more of a stitching theme and rest him on a nest of floss or perle cotton or spools or scraps of wool--whatever appeals to you. I'll be anxious to see what becomes of him :)
Look forward to seeing that magazine. I actually have a couple friends in there if I'm not mistaken. I think Gloria Parsons is a contributor if memory serves. …which it doesn't always, eh?
ReplyDeletePoor bunny looks so lonely, maybe some plastic eggs?
ReplyDeleteI'll have to look that magazine up next time I'm at Barnes and Noble.
lovely new header, has always been one of my favorites....and as usual when i see a quilt i designed with the new creator's design i love it even more!!!
ReplyDeletep.s. now i wish i had put a flag!
The new publication looks very interesting...
ReplyDeleteAbout that bunny - if you could find another bunny friend you would soon have a bowl full...knowing the nature of bunnies..:o)
Still waiting on mine ;>( Hope it comes soon......
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun magazine. I've been hearing a lot of good buzz about it. Sounds like it has all my favorite designers!
ReplyDeleteoh my~! that poor lonely bunny.
ReplyDeletemaybe you could just put some spring colored fat quarters in there to keep him company . . . or some rolled up orange woolens (aka "carrots") ?
i've recently ordered the Primitive Quilts and Projects magazine subscription and am very much looking forward to seeing my first copy.
