Temecula Quilt Co it reminded me that this was in my basted stack ready to be quilted. This is yet another wool applique quilt designed by Cheri.
I got it quilted and bound yesterday and on the wall today!!
I had to include my Danish Nisse in the photo. The holidays are here when I see them!!
A friend gave me this panel some time ago and it was the perfect size for the backing. I didn't do too great at getting it centered, but I like it.Seriously, I'm warmed up on my machine quilting and the Bible quilt is next on the list..then I want to get my red and white one quilted before Christmas. That may not happen, but I can try.
Happy December!!
I love it! Both the front and the back look fantastic!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun quilt and how great that you were able to get it finished!
ReplyDeleteAnother really cute quilt you finished. I can't believe you did all that in a day. looks great.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the others as you finish them. I am sure you will finish them.
Instead of finishing my Christmas quilts like I should be, I am cutting out applique pieces for another quilt. I think I am going to have to set them aside and finish my "12 Days of Christmas". Your finish is looking good. I like that you added the fabric pieces in the upper left corner. I think mine needs something there too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great little primitive Christmas piece for the wall! I wish I could come watch you do the machine quilting. I could use some help warming mine up!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the finish on the Bible quilt!
Your primitive quilts are so cute. Thanks for the link to Temecula's mystery quilt page. Even if I do not get the quilt made, I enjoy looking at each step published.
ReplyDeleteHappy Stitching Lori!
Adorable quilt.......there is nothing like applique with wool is there?
ReplyDeleteCan you tell us more about the Danish Nisse? did you make them?
Yes, they would make any holiday brighter :0).
Happy Sewing
Wonderful holiday quilt! I love the primitive and playful look.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! You made quick work of it too, always a satisfying thing when you want a finish. Hope you have a chance to get the others completed. Love your Nisse dolls too.
ReplyDeleteYou can do it, I know it. So much fun to get things all done and up on the wall. Talk to you when we get home, I will wave as we fly over!
ReplyDeleteI love those little dolls - they really do look like Christmas. And nice job finishing the quilt so quickly!
ReplyDeleteI love how this turned out! That lord a leaping at the bottom just gives me the giggles! CUTE!!
ReplyDeleteIt's absolutely beautiful, Lori! And I'm crazy over those two dolls....love the little sweater vest! Too cute!
ReplyDeleteYour 12 Days of Christmas is wonderful. How nice to have one ready to finish so quickly. I don't remember seeing a few scattered blocks here and there, as on this pattern. Such a great "I have them, let's use them" look.
ReplyDeleteYour cute little Danish Nisse look ready for mischief. Even with new finishes, it's comforting to have familiar things to bring out for the holidays.
Woo Hoo....yes....Deck the Halls!!
ReplyDeleteWhat great little projects you have to help with 'the decking'!!
This one is really charming. So primitive and fun. The backing really is a surprise. So nice. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas . . .
ReplyDeleteWonderful pieces, I need to get going, but doubt I will make all of my goals this season;)
ReplyDeleteDebbie
Love it! Those Cheri quilts are always a favorite. I didn't get around to making a new Christmas quilt this year. Guess that means I'll need to make two next year *lol*
ReplyDeleteFABulous. Love your little dolls and the runner they are sitting on. I love seeing everyone's special holiday decor.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your R & W goal, I'm cheering your one from my corner of the world!
You made it a two sided quit with that backing. Very Nice! and Just in time for December.
ReplyDeleteLovely quilt ... and as a Dane I had to smile when I saw your Danish Nisse ;-)
ReplyDeleteChristmas in Denmark can not be celebrated with out lots of them. They are more important than Santa!

Just love that version of the 12 days!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! It has my gears working... soon I hope to start my 12 days and this is a good reminder.
ReplyDeleteTake care
I love the 12 Days of Christmas quilt! I'm heading over to Cheri's to see if I can still get a pattern for it. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLove Cheri's prim quilt pattern. You did a great job with the applique and all those lovely wool!
ReplyDeletegirls, you are on a roll. Love the new finish - and the backing is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love the little blocks scattered on the quilt top, haven't seen those before, just remember you were going to do something to the empty spaces.
ReplyDeleteThe bible quilt turned out beautifully too! I am curious to the quilting you are going to do, it doesn't need much I think? It is great as it is!
What a great little quilt - lots of color and so interesting! You will enjoy pulling it out every year to use for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the quilting on your red and white.
Lori, Just gorgeous. Happy December to you also.
ReplyDeleteAhh, a tradition. The Danish Nisse. I dig being "in" on a tradition. Any of those you share are a delight. Now your holiday piece really made me smile yesterday when I first peeked in. I was charmed by the little blocks you added. A truly unique and ever-lasting piece my friend.
ReplyDeleteLove the quilt and the Nisse!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are going to get that bible quilt finished - sounds like you have the determination to see a lot of finishes!
I have just finished a UFO from 2009 - boy does that feel good!
