It's a quilting vortex and I got sucked in!! LOL Here's my version of the 12 Days of Christmas that Temecula Quilt Co put out. Did I have other projects I should have been working on? Of course! But this was so much fun!!
This pin cushion was such a thoughtful gift from Megan at Will Work for Fabric. Thank you so much!!
As I'm hand sewing the binding down I'm also quilting in the scallop so it's going a bit slow. I've got one side DONE!
I may have to quilt one more straight line at the bottom of the triangles. It seems like it might need more.
oh my gosh that's too funny i just cut cheddar sashing for my 12 Days of Christmas today, great minds think alike....
ReplyDeleteI got sucked into the vortex also! I just finished the 12 little blocks. I think we are all quilting madwomen! Your Dear Jane quilt is awesome! I'm going to have to see it in person some day!
ReplyDeleteYes I think a few of us got sucked into that very same vortex LOL!!!! I finished my last night, so will post it on my blog soon, it was a fun little project!!!
ReplyDeleteFrom what I can see of your DJ, it is looking wonderful, I got the few remaining FQ's I need for my DJ, now there is really no excuse not to make a start on it sometime this year.........but just watch me LOL!!!!! I'm great at avoidance and distraction LOL!!
The binding is going along nicely. I love the contrast of the blue against the white.
ReplyDeleteI finished up my 12 Days quilt today, too. It was so much fun, just one little block a day. I hope to post a picture on my blog tomorrow. I understand the having other projects to work on, too. Lots to do but a new project is just too much fun not to start! I love the fabrics in the DJ picture, so pretty!
ReplyDelete*LOL* I just posted my little blocks yesterday. Only started them the night before that. I had planned on working on Pink Lemonade that night. Now it has to wait until next week.

Look at you go! My friend is working on the 12 days of Christmas, but I"ve resisted. I did start the Take 2 in red/cream. Your DJ is going to be amazing. Are you going to put it in Sisters?
ReplyDeleteI was very tempted to make that 12 days quilt too :0) Your version is lovely. The scallops are looking wonderful. Only 3 more sides!! You're getting closer and closer!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for you about your Dear Jane quilt. I haven't even started mine and yet I am already wondering how it should be quilted. Did you have a plan for yours with an overall design idea or did you quilt it by just filling in the spaces with whatever struck you at the moment?
ReplyDeleteYour little 12 days of christmas looks great! Love the muted pallet.
