 I got a little distracted by the JT2 blocks. I will machine applique the large block. It's ready to go and then I'll assemble the first quarter blocks. But first...............
Here's my start to the cowboy quilt. I'm not one to make a bazillion blocks then sew them together. I make a few blocks, sew a few sections together, repeat, repeat....repeat until completed. I am going to try and be more focused on this quilt this week. I'm still waiting for a few more packages of cowboy fabrics to come in.

BTW, the first two cowboys in my last post are my hubby's great grand uncles who were raised in Montana and moved to Los Angeles and became cowboy actors. The last photo of the man with the guitar is my grandfather who was a cowboy all his life.

    Ohhhh love the red and white quilt blocks! Going to be an outstanding quilt. My husband would love your cowboy quilt, I should make him one, he's a cowboy too....

    The red/white blocks are really looking good, love the latest large applique block, such a gorgeous design!
    I think your cowboy quilt in progress is an interesting one too, they remind me of classic vintage prints, such a unique look, the blocks are looking great so far!!!

    I see that you started your cowboy blocks. I like to start sewing blocks together same as you. I like to see progress and seeing that the block size, etc. makes me happy. Interesting that you have cowboys in your family history.

    Your red and white blocks are looking good. I just keep saving the patterns for a rainy day. I am satisfied right now to be working on the red and white basket project I have going.

    When I saw the new blocks on JT2 I thought to myself, gosh, I'm glad I'm out of it! But you went ahead and completed it! Bravo!

    LOVE the first blocks on your cowboy quilt. Wasn't sure how that pattern would work but your fabric choices are wonderful! Enjoyed the photos in your last post, now knowing they are family makes it even better. Very kewl

    Lori, I LOVE your Just Takes 2. I have been trying to keep up, but am not great at applique. I never even thought to machine applique this block. What a great idea! what method did you use? Is it fused, or freezer paper prepared?
