You are just going to have to believe me when I tell you it is lovely! The motifs in this quilt are making it so much more enjoyable for me to work on. I know I have a lot to go, but I can't think of that right now.
My blogging may slow down a little since the holidays are upon us. Be sure to take time to enjoy this time of the year.
this will be such a treasure when done.. you must be thrilled to have it almost completed

This is going to be so beautiful and such an accomplishment!
ReplyDeleteLooking good! Did you see Barbara Brackman's recent post about applique quilts? She made mention of how little circles in vases continue to signify fruit in addition to circles on stems.
ReplyDeleteI am left in the dust - hoping to make more progress after the holidays.
I'm astounded how lovely this is. Exactly the kind of quilt on my 'to do' list!

ReplyDeleteIsn't it a satisfying feeling to see such a project getting near completion? I can see the motifs here and there in the photos--they look great! (And the lady with the glasses makes me smile.)
ReplyDeleteIt does look lovely! Can't wait to see it finished! The time taken isn't so bad if you aren't in a hurry (which it seems like I always am).
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous blocks, Lori! Nice job on the hand quilting!
ReplyDeleteLovely, Lori!
ReplyDeleteThis is looking so good. I'm going to do the outline quilting like yours, usually I get right under the applique and I love your yours lookes, seems to be about a 1/16th to an 1/8th out from the applique?? My top made it to the marker in MD, whew, 1/2 the travel is over!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteA quick glance at your blog post title read 1325 blocks which to me meant 1,325 blocks and I wondered what kind of quilt you were going to write about. A second read netted the 13/25 and now I understand. LOL! Every stitch gets you closer to the end and what a great finish it is going to be.
ReplyDeleteLovely! Your quilting is making this quilt very special. Looking great!
ReplyDeleteYour progress is wonderful and so worth sharing with us. We love to see work in progress.
ReplyDeleteIt just keeps getting better all the time. What a fantastic quilt.
ReplyDeleteFabulous inspiration Lori! Thanks for the pictures. I could see a double line filler maybe switching directions each block? But the original shells would be nice too.
ReplyDeleteHave a great holiday season.
glad you are enjoying the quilting - I don't have project this year - maybe the Jubilee will get pulled together after Christmas.
ReplyDeleteLooking soooo good! I love the little motifs!

Another blogger shared the 'photo of quilting stitches' trick with me. Place your quilt where the light comes at it from the side. I lay mine over a chair that is almost perpendicular to my sliding glass door. Then take the photo with NO flash. It is amazing how the stitches show up.
ReplyDeleteThank you Carla.
DeleteLori, You are an amazing woman! I am so delighted to have met you. Do you hand quilt using a frame? If so, what kind?
