I got the final blocks made on Tuesday of Just Takes Two. Yes, I made a mistake, no, I'm not fixing it.
I then proceeded to assembling.....
except I apparently left a few blocks at home!
How annoying! But the missing blocks all go in one section, so it shouldn't be too much to add them when I get home.
It's cold and snowy but we always manage to get outside for a walk. We are going snowshoeing tomorrow!
We had a little accident at our business this week. The driver didn't only knock out the power but caused a surge at our business so I'll be stopping by the office supply on my way home and replacing some equipment. What a pain! As far as I know everyone in the vehicle was ok.
Countdown to Christmas! Have a festive week!!
Beautiful quilt and snow
ReplyDeleteHappy we are snow-less!
That quilt is going to be beautiful...Have fun in Sunriver...perfect place to get in the mood for Christmas with all the snow.
ReplyDeletetoo bad about leaving some of your blocks behind but you did get most of it together and it's looking pretty fabulous~!!

Wow it looks fantastic! Must have taken a long time so sew even that part together.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations.
Really gorgeous!!! Perfect color for Christmas!!
ReplyDeleteWow! Love how your quilt is coming together so beautifully! Great colors for the holidays.:)
ReplyDeleteThe quilt is wonderful! My need for closure would have driven me crazy after finding I left some blocks at home. Glad you are coping. : )
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful there, but taking a break like that the week before Christmas would require that I be on top of things, and that never seems to happen. Enjoy! : )
Your quilt looks fantastic. You've got the hardest part behind you. Glad you had a chance to enjoy some winter weather.
ReplyDeleteSo fun to see the quilt assembled. It is a beauty. I am envious of your retreat and the snow! Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteLOL! All the exclamations that came to mind when seeing your nearly finished "Just Takes Two" have all been used! It looks marvelous! Wow -- what a way to end a work day, huh? For both y'all and the driver! Glad no one was hurt and hope that it didn't impact business. :)
ReplyDeleteHave lots and lots of fun!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what your mistake is. The blocks look good to me. I can tell you are getting very excited about finishing the main body of the quilt. Have you given thought to the border?
ReplyDeleteI saw on the weather report about snowy weather out your way. I can remember when I got excited about the first snow of the year. I have never been snow shoeing. I think I would stay indoors and sew and leave the walking to you.
Your quilt is going to be so awesome - looks great even without all the blocks! Glad you are having fun and playing in the snow!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is beautiful, I love red and white, must make myself one one day!!! Looking forward to seeing it altogether.

The JT2 is looking so fabulous! A year of steady effort sure pays. Love all that snow pic ... don't know how it's like.
ReplyDeleteToo bad about the accident in the office.
The quilt is fantastic! Enjoy your relaxing time and I am glad all is well at your shop.
ReplyDeleteThis quilt takes my breath away!!!! Magnificent.
ReplyDeleteThis quilt looks like it will be a beauty when finished - but I am sure glad I didn't do it!! I love your carefree attitude about not fixing your mistake - just go with the flow....
ReplyDeleteHave a Merry Christmas -
Judy
Wow your blocks look amazing together. What a big project/adventure! Enjoy the snowshoeing :0)
ReplyDeleteYour takes 2 is looking fab and a very exciting time out retreat. Enjoy your snowshoeing. Something I would love to have a go at.
ReplyDeleteYour Just Takes Two looks awesome and the getaway sounds delightful.
ReplyDeleteYour Takes Two blocks are just gorgeous! I'd meant to download the patterns as they were released, but life got busy and I didn't do it... and now that I've seen everyone's blocks laid out together, I'm having serious regrets.
ReplyDeleteNow that I see the quilt almost all together, I'm thinking I should have made it! You did a lovely job.
ReplyDeleteThe quilt is just stunning, even with a couple of missing blocks. I can not wait to see it all together.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the accident. Glad that only equipment was hurt.
That is gorgeous! You are on a roll with red and white! Love the picture of you in the snow! We are finally getting some cold weather, but not down to freezing, so it's not very cold. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteOh, those blocks look incredible all layed out!
ReplyDeleteWish we had some snow. It is just going to miss us tonight, and just be wind and rain here :(
Love seeing all (most) of the blocks sewn together. Well done!
ReplyDeleteI wish we had snow. At least it's gotten colder here in Virginia.
Have fun snowshoeing!
I'm sure it was frustrating to find that you left a few blocks at home, but just look at this beauty!! Each block is unique by itself, but the sum total of all the red/white blocks together is stunning. Well done, Lori.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're enjoying the snow. We're in the middle of the Midwest blizzard -- basically 2/3 of our state has all roads shut down and closed. I prefer the beauty of snow, as you are, not the fury of it.
Stay warm and keep sewing--enjoying the winter, the walks, and the wine.
your quilt looks great - doh! sorry about the MIA blocks. glad everything was okay with the business.
ReplyDeleteenjoy your getaway
Did you put your blocks together as directed or mix then us a bit?
ReplyDeleteHappy Sewing
Was the mistake made before or after the wine? Hee hee!The quilt is gorgeous even unfinished. Can't wait to see it quilted.
