Sewline Needle Threader

Some time back I was complaining about not being able to thread my needle. This came highly recommended by my blog readers and here is my unprofessional, unpaid review.
Looks like lipstick. It's nice because it is easy to find in your supplies.
Open it up, put your needle gently in the end-( eye inside) At this point I push down gently to see if my needle is lined up properly inside.
Lay your thread over and in the little slot.
Push top down gently
.

Pull needle out slowly. Ta-da!! Threaded needle and I didn't even have to put on my magnifying glasses!! lol
I've got my vine hand appliqued to my Porch quilt. It's going slower then I'd like, but it isn't because I'm spending time trying to thread my needle!!
It has something to do with getting distracted with cute projects like this from Cheri!!

Sven the Gnome is going on an adventure this weekend!!

  1. Love your banner and pics of your projects. Your needle threader looks like a great one...does it work with even the tiny quilting needles? I have a needle threader that works with some needles, but not my smaller ones for hand quilting. Thank you for the review!

  2. I want to make some Cheri stockings too. A couple years ago, I made wool stockings that were for gifts but I did not make any for myself for decorating here.

  6. cool gadget..have you tried the self threading needles? I LOVE THEM...and have you ever been to Pioneer quilts in Clackamas? if not, you should go before you head back this weekend.

  7. Thanks for the feedback on the needle threader. I am off to do a spot of shopping to see if I can find one. Some lovely sewing distraction going on there.

  8. Do you think it would work with a beading needle? The kind with the itty bitty eye. I spend more time threading than beading.

  9. I love that threader - it does fine small eye needles so quickly!
Good luck on getting that vine down - fun project.
Nice to be distracted sometimes by great new projects ;-)

  10. Thanks for the great review, Lori. I've been very curious about this particular threader. It would nicely in my handwork bag of tools. :-)

Love your stockings - very cute.

  11. I bought that same threader at Houston Quilt Show this year as my friend there has one and it works great.

  12. Hmmm, maybe that threader needs to go in my stocking! : )
But those stockings are too distracting. I didn't let myself print the patterns. I am not keeping up well with gift making as it is. I think I just need to get off the computer!

  13. Your header is beautiful! It should be in a decorator magazine. I may have to get one of these needle threaders. Thanks for the info.

  14. The quilt in your header is stunning! I love red and white quilts - they always catch my eye.
That threader looks really intriguing. Do you think it would work with a #12 sharp?

  15. I bought a Clover needle threader earlier this year . It looks like it works like the Sewline one. It's really quite helpful. Definitely a tool that is just what it's cracked up to be!

  16. Love your stockings! Very cute. And thanks for the review. I am just about to the point of buying a needle threader because the light in my living room is always terrible. Guess I could buy a new lamp too.:)

  17. Very cute stockings, Yes, Sven hasn't had his Dec outing yet. I'm still waiting to see what got inked on your Nov adventure ;-) LOVE the threader and you can buy "guts" to it if you bend the inside piece.

  18. I just love that sunflower/starburst block. I need to try making one. Distractions are inevitable I think. So where are you going?? :0)

  19. Thanks for the review - sounds wonderful and time saving. Now to find something to stop fine thread constantly pulling OUT of the needle when I sew...

  20. Good to know - thanks for the review. Even though we have so many other projects it is fun to do some with a holiday theme at this time of year. Cute stockings!

  21. Your threader is veeeeeery interesting, I could use all the help I can get when it comes to threading needles (or anything else.) Can't wait to see where Sven goes on his outing. Hugs

  22. I have that needle threader and hadn't used it until recently. I usually don't have trouble threading needles, but did yesterday, so i got it out and it works great! There is always a distraction to another project to keep us busier than we would have been!

  25. Thanks for the review. I usually can thread my needle, but I wear bifocals. Sometimes if the light isn't good a threader sure would help.
    Happy stitching

  26. Nice review Lori. I'll be looking for one of these, as the Clover threader is too bulky to take on the go.

  27. What a clever little tool ... and I like that it looks all lipstick-ish like ... it would make me feel like I was in a spy movie or something! LOL! I do let my imagination get a little carried away sometimes. :)

  29. I have noticed it's getting harder to thread my needles too. I'll be looking for that needle threader at my favorite quilt shop! Excellent review. Those stockings are adorable!

  30. There aren't many tools that I need. I've bought way too many on impulse, cuz everybody else had one, and I just followed along. Now this is something that I really need! Gotta save the eyesight, any way we can. Thanks for the review and the instructions, Lori. It's on my list, and I've been a good girl, so here's hoping Santa is watching over my shoulder.
