Applique

I'm making a block for a friend with a group of ladies. She doesn't read my blog so I'm not concerned with showing it. It's been awhile since I've hand appliqued and I think once it's quilted you won't be able to see how NOT smooth my petals are.

I had a great weekend and hopefully will have photos to share with you soon. Sven helped me celebrate in March!!

One more month to celebrate 50 and I decided I had to end it big!!

    That is so pretty, Lori. Being applique challenged, I wouldn't know what you think isn't good about this block. Looks stunning to me!
    Sven helped you celebrate in March? Were any pubs involved? I just sense mischief. I hope you didn't loose all sense of decorum!

    Your friend is in for a real treat. SOmetimes we are too critical of our own work. I think it looks great.

    Very sweet! I love how the colors of the petals pop out and recede both. If I had to worry about how smooth my applique was, I'd never hand applique again.:)

    I have trouble having nice smooth applique too. I think your block looks just fine. Was everyone doing an applique block?

    Very pretty block. I see some familiar blues with the neutrals, and they make a nice border for your lovely flower. It looks perfect. The mystery lady will love it.
