I had to have a photo to post and I snapped this when we took a trip to the coast. Tillamook tries to reel in quilters by having quilt blocks throughout the county on various buildings. It's great marketing but that's about it.
I wanted to let you all know that my friend, Lene, from Denmark is responding very well to the chemotherapy. She had her first scan and the tumors have shrunk considerably! Please keep her in your prayers. She has 6 more chemo treatments to go, and we know that is difficult on your body.
Hugs and love
Wonderful news! I'll be keeping her in my prayers!

Wonderful news about your friend. Thank you for keeping us up to date on her progress.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear the news about Lene! She will definitely be in my prayers!
ReplyDeleteSo are you saying that the Barn Quilts are about all Tillamook has to offer quilters? No quilt shops that are worth the trip? : )
Great news, I shall be thinking of Lena.
ReplyDeleteI love the way quilt blocks are seen on the side of buildings, I have never seen anything like it in England.
Good news for your friend, Lene. Hoping she continues to respond to the chemo.
ReplyDeleteThoughts and prayers for Lene's continued improvement!
ReplyDeleteGood news and a fun roadtrip to take in the future. Wonder is Dh would take me if I tempted him with some Tillamook Cheese or Ice Cream.
ReplyDeleteWonderful news about Lene. Will keep her in my thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteSo great to hear the news about your friend, Lene, and hope she has a speedy recovery. Love Tillamook cheese - we visited the factory when our daughters were young, and we all still laugh about the worker who snuck a piece of cheese when he thought no one was looking. We only buy this brand of cheese. The medium cheddar is our favorite, but the pepper jack is right up there too. The quilt symbols are pretty cool!
ReplyDeleteDidn't have a chance to start on Harmony yet, but I had to stop by and say; Yeah Lene! So glad to hear the good news. I know she is not out of the woods yet so we'll keep her in our prayers still.
ReplyDeleteHope you hear more good news from her soon.
I will pray for your friend. She is off to a good start. I always enjoy reading your blog and seeing all the quilt patterns you share with us. Thank you.
ReplyDeletePlease share the quilt shops worth stopping at along the Oregon coast! Congrats on the turning 50 jump! My son tried to get me to jump with him a few years back. He turned 21 when I reached 50. He jumped. I did not. Maybe a little zip line would be fun. ;-)
