I've got two more blocks to applique then I'm calling the center DONE!
As much as a fan that I am for red and green quilts I'm glad I changed it up and did red and blue.

I plan on doing the scallops. That is what makes this quilt so special!
Happy Wednesday!
Looking at your blocks, I remember that I made one of the blocks last year when I was testing different applique methods and did it in red and blue. I liked the color combo when I saw yours and I am saving my greens for a couple other projects. I think that is the only block I made.
ReplyDeleteWhat a way to start the new year! Fabulous! Love you fabric choices too.
ReplyDeleteI love that you did red and blue as well. Its looking great.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I'm still plugging along on mine... I think I am 4 behind!!
ReplyDeleteLooking great! It's time to get going on some projects now that Christmas is over.
ReplyDeleteWhen you said you were "calling it done" I started counting the blocks in the original to see how many there were. I can't tell if they are all visible or not in the photo, but there are a LOT of blocks! I love that you are cutting to the chase and getting to the special part. : )
ReplyDeleteTu edredón se ve muy bonito en rojos y azules!!!
ReplyDelete¿porque siempre termino con verde?
saludos
Blue and red; green and red. Either way, this is one fantastic quilt. And, yes, those scallops DO make the quilt, so of course you have to do them! I will eagerly await progress updates!
ReplyDeleteYou're very talented Lori...your blocks are sooo cute, and it's an original and a good idea to change the green in blue !!

ReplyDeleteLori, this is beautiful! I love your color choices; it really comes alive when you see all the blocks together. I'm doing mine in the standard red and green, but will definitely remember yours for future projects.
