I started this quilt last July in Sisters at a class with Sujata of The Root Connection. In the back of my mind I thought it would work for a baby quilt but didn't know if I'd need it for a boy or a girl.
You all helped me choose the border and I'm happy with it.
It's for a boy, by the way.
I shared with you the ABC fabric, and obviously I measured wrong.
So, instead of just a baby quilt, it's a mom and baby quilt!
My Instagram feed this week pretty much sums it up since the beginning of the year!
Have a wonderful weekend.
It will be great for momma and baby to snuggle under together! Is that an all over quilting stitch? My windmills is getting pin basted this weekend!
ReplyDeleteThis will be wonderful for mama and little one to snuggle under for several years, especially now with the cold and snow we've been having! So bright and cheerful, it will be perfect for any season though.
ReplyDeleteI think a mama will love having something she can use to keep herself and her baby warm as they cuddle. This quilt looks both warm and happy!
ReplyDeleteIt was -20 when I got up this morning--still is--but we are supposed to get all the way up to 9 today, so it will be balmy. : )
Lori imagino a la mama y su bebe juntos !!!
ReplyDeletees muy bonito me gusta esa frontera verde

ReplyDeletePerfect finish for a boy, he will think of airplane propellers perhaps in stead of windmills! I'm sur mom and son will enjoy this gift!
ReplyDeleteThat is so fun and perfect for a boy, babies love color and design.

ReplyDeleteLove it! And really, when it's a little large, then the baby can use it for years. That's a wonderful thing.:)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great little baby quilt! Who is the lucky boy??
ReplyDeleteDid you do the quilting? It looks like you did a very intricate overall pattern. VERY nice.
And I love the pieced backing, too! Are those safety pins??? CUTE
