Spencer Museum Quilt

Here is my block 1 of the Spencer Museum Quilt designed by Jan Patek.

I heard from Dorothy that she is still contemplating her fabric and
Karen is sharing her blocks at her blog, Log Cabin Quilter.
Rebecca's block can be seen HERE.
If you have blocks to share, send them to me if you do not blog and I'll add it to this post, or let me post a link to your blog.

We are experiencing a crazy snow storm. It feels so late in the season. We are trying to make the best of it.

  1. Working together in a "team spirit" is a great way to keep on task and get so much done. Love your first block

  3. I wish I had time to participate in this one but I'm swamped with Hospital Sketches (Barbara Brackman), Merry Christmas (Suzn Quilts), String Along (Moda), Bloomer SAL (GoNe StItChIn), and RSC 2019. I'll probably retain your inspiration and start at a later date .... or the next SAL you offer! Love your blog.

  4. So interesting to see your fabric choices. Did you shop for fabric or pull from stash? I like the red print fabric very much.

  11. Great blocks both of you. Just got back to Ellensburg. I think we had 30 inches at our place Lori and were concerned this a.m. we wouldn't be able to get out of our long driveway to feed the cows in Ellensburg. That was/is one crazy storm for late in the winter!

  13. I love your block. The pattern is sitting here on my table calling to me, but I'm behind on my grandma sewing duties! I have new grandbabies who don't have quilts yet ....the quilts are happy finished, two outfits done, two bishop gowns need smockng too.....
Someday I will get to make the Spenser. I also have a few Sue Garman quilt patterns waiting in line here too. If you haven't heard of her, she passed away probably two years ago & her daughter is carrying on with the shop & blog. I started at the beginning and read whole blog, and learned so much. Sue was amazing. https://www.comequilt.com check out the site if interested. The blog link is at the bottom of list,
