Cousin's Walk Folk Art Bird Sampler

Over lunch in LaConner, Merry mentioned she'd rec'd this beautiful package from the Quilted Crow Girls in 2014 and SHE HAD NEVER OPENED IT! Silly lady said it was just wrapped so beautifully! LOL  We went to her house to get the Go off her hands and we watched her open the beautiful package! Well, I went down the slippery slope and ordered it from Val at The Quilt Merchant. (It is no longer on Val's site and the Quilted Crow Girls are no longer in business)

I have one big quilt project I want to get complete before I even begin to think about starting this.

After seeing the pattern I KNEW I'd seen that quilt with my own eyes before!

Here's a photo I took at Portland Quilt Market in 2013!!

If you have a lovely package laying around, you really should open it!

  1. Oh wow! Another great project. Can't wait to watch this one progress. Mary's booth is always delightful. Glad the girls decided to reproduce this one.

  3. It's beautiful, esp the one hanging up, in the faded but bright colors. Not sure Ipicture you or any of us making 30 almost identical bird blocks tho?

  5. An unopened package since 2014!?! It's such a great quilt! There are a couple of friends making it on Instagram and I love to see their blocks every month. This would be a fun one to make.

  11. I loved this quilt from the moment I first saw it on the www years ago (may have been your picture) then it became available but only as a kit from Australia and I thought that was just too expensive, so I never bought it. I will not do so now, too many projects already at hand (and in my head) , but I still love this quilt and pattern and really look forward to seeing you make it. Enjoy!

  14. I took a class a while ago in Grand Junction, CO, with the Quilted Crows girls. They are fabulous and fun! Diedre and Leoni are still active in the quilting world, just separately. Maybe if interested in the pattern, one of them may have it. They're Australian so the shipping would stink but maybe one or the other will be Spring Market???
