Poor Elsa got into something yesterday and ripped up her feet. We had to make an emergency trip to the vet's office. One of her pads is tore up and on the other foot her dewclaw was torn. Unfortunately it was only me at home and I don't do well with blood and injuries!! We are hoping it will heal on its own. We are giving it until Monday, then we may have to take bigger measures to get it better. Doesn't she look pitiful??
If you have an extra $3000 laying around, this beauty from ebay can be yours! It is so unique, folksy, and spectacular all in one!!
Have a fantastic weekend!
Oooh poor baby Elsa--don't you hate it when your pet has been injured? I know they seem so sad yet stoic about it...hurts your heart...Here's hoping she heals up over the weekend .
ReplyDeleteI still miss Kota our darling granddog. ;((( hugs Lovely quilt but $3K? yikes...hugs, Julierose
Oh, poor Elsa! I hope she heals quickly! Interesting 1/2 blocks on the right side of that lovely quilt :)
ReplyDeletePoor Elsa! I remember a torn pad on one of our doggies and it did heal eventually. So Sad.
ReplyDeletePoor Elsa and poor you since you have a hard time dealing with blood. Did this happen on a hike?
ReplyDeleteLove that quilt but certainly not the $$$! We could probably recreate it! I also noticed the 1/2 blocks on the right hand side. Possibly on the pillow?
Poor Elsa. She doesn't look like she needs some extra loving today. Hope it all heals quickly.
ReplyDeleteSorry Elsa got hurt. Sure hope she recovers without drastic measures. Stay warm.
ReplyDeletePoor sweet Elsa! Hope her boo boo heals fast! Drooling over the eBay quilt! Have a great weekend Lori!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lori (and Kevin, too!!) I am BIG into scrap quilting. I am SEW excited to have won a copy of Gracie Lu's Rail Fence pattern!!! Maybe now my scraps won't keep threatening to overtake the sewing room. :o))
ReplyDeleteLucky ladies. Poor Elsa. LOVE the ebay quilt! Have a wonderful Christmas Lori from NZ
ReplyDeletePoor Elsa, I am surprised the vet didn't bandage it. If needed, the self stick, stretchy athletic tape works well on dogs tho you have to keep it dry by wrapping in a baggy or saran wrap when she goes out. I've noticed some of the hiking rescues mention dogs cutting their paws on sharp rocks, was she out hiking? Or maybe ice?Or that bulldog next door?!
ReplyDeleteThe Pineapple quilt is so wonderful. I ll buy a Lotto ticket!
lizzy
Poor Elsa. When our fur babies hurt, it is so difficult. I hope she is getting around and healed (or well on her way) by Monday!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt but not worth the price. Hoping Elsa heals quickly.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to your winners!
ReplyDeletePoor Elsa--you were brave to handle it alone. I don't do well with blood and injuries, either, so I get it. I always do better when someone else is with me to provide support.
Hope she heals without more drastic measures.
That is a really beautiful, but funky quilt. :)
Poor pup! We had one cut a pad last year, so hard to keep them still on not reinjure it. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteLove seeing all your quilty pics!
Poor Elsa. Hope she is ok. Love the quirkyness of the quilt bit not at that price!
ReplyDeleteThat quilt is worth every penny! LOTS of work involved... it’s a beauty! Elsa the explorer pays the price of adventure! 😉
