Back in June I posted this on the Humble Quilts facebook group inquiring on the last 3 quilts taking the "slow boat" on their journey to their swap partner. LOL
All was silent. On July 6 I posted this one. The little quilts must be on an even smaller and slower boat to their destination! LOL
And then TADA!
The first quilt arrived from Japan! Cynthia made this for Robin.
Then boom, the next quilt arrived! This was destined for Sicily, Italy to Rina from Mary Ellen.
Then bada bing! The 3rd and final quilt of the swap arrived from Sicily, Italy! Made by Rina for Wendy.
So wonderful they all eventually made it.
Who knew when we started this it would take months to wrap up the swap! This is one for the books!! LOL
Thank you all for your patience. Looks like they were all worth the wait!
All 70 swap quilts are up on the Linky Party. See it HERE.
Much love
They are all beauties on its one. And definitly worth waiting for. Congrats for the makers!
ReplyDeleteno doubt all 3 well worth the long wait...thank you again lori for such a fun and eye popping swap!
ReplyDeleteIt was funny, I think they area all in the same armada!
ReplyDeleteGood news! This will be a swap to remember.
ReplyDeleteWonderful news! All of the quilts are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAll the quilts rae beautiful !
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on all the quilters ! I hope next year I will participate again !
the quilts are so beautiful! It looks like so much fun, even with the wait. I wish I could join but I don't keep a blog anymore.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on another successful (yet extended) swap, Lori!! I'm sure that quilters from far and wide are now breathing a sigh of relief. SEW many lovely mini quilts now safely in the hands of their new owners!!
ReplyDeleteLori thanks for having the swap! It will be one to remember for sure! So glad that everyone receive their quilts! Love looking at all the quilts!
ReplyDeleteJust glad all these wonderful quilts made it safely into harbor.
ReplyDeleteYeah! They finally made it to shore!
ReplyDeleteAll safely ashore, and all beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to this every year!! Thank you for organizing it for us!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad all little quilts have finally arrived. This virus does something to the mail delivery too... packages from the Netherlands take 2 to 3 months to arrive in the US. You should think they are taking the row boat to cross the ocean.....
ReplyDeleteEverything being shipped to or from the US has been delayed. It was about three months before I got fabric that I ordered from Australia. An Etsy purchase that I did not pay careful attention to the fact the seller was in Australia. I did not mind the wait but my project had gone on without before the fabric arrived.
ReplyDeleteSo glad they have all arrived! What a relief. Thanks again for the great doll quilt swap Lori!
ReplyDeleteThey are darling.
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting to see all the variety amongst the 70 quilts.
Each quilt is sew sweet! Kind of exciting to think your quilt came from so far away...that international connection is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteEach one unique and beautiful in its own way!
