A Little Bit o' Chedda

Cheddar is such a bold color to use in quilting. In this video I share a few of my cheddar quilts and talk about this terrific quilt color!

Here's a link if you are having a hard time watching it through blogger.  CLICK HERE

I shared on Facebook yesterday that I'm really missing guild meetings and talking about quilts!! My teachers always said I talked too much. I hope you enjoy it.

I haven't been too active on Instagram lately, but here's the recent photos.

If you are celebrating Labor Day, please do so carefully.

Much love, friends

  5. A delightful video showing your cheddar quilts! Making a cheddar quilt has been on my 'to do' list for years now. Perhaps, I should just sit down and make one? LOL

  7. Really enjoyed your video. It made me go look at the quilt top I made in 2014 that I haven't quilted yet. The quilt originally had gold but it just called out for cheddar so I had to unpick it all and replace the fabric. It looks so much better. Need to quilt it soon.

  8. Well done, very inspiring and interesting

My teachers claimed I was too quiet [too shy]--they gotta say something and often it's more hurtful than they must imagine [or they don't care], as we both recall the criticism all these years later.

  17. Enjoyed watching your two videos. They were good. And informative. I think you will be fine. One of the main things is having your stuff together and in order so your conversation flows. You did great. Thanks for sharing. Love your take on Humble quilts. Also, I love the basket quilt hanging on your wall.

  20. On my someday list is a spiderweb quilt with cheddar kites. I bought fabric to do that, but after seeing your Stars in a Time Warp, with cheddar, I need to buy a couple more shades and yardages of it so I can finish my Stars In a Time Warp, too! Thank you for sharing! Love your quilts!

  21. I have enjoyed your venture in to the video world! I too love yellows & oranges in quilts.

The videos were clear & your quilts showed up well on the screen. I look forward to some more practice pieces.

I would love to hear about the appliqued quilt you are working on now if you have any history on it.

It's been a while but I'm the hand dyer of the cheddar wallhanging . . . one of my very favorite quilts.
I've been unattached to the internet for so long but so good to see you actively continuing on your journey. God bless.
