These photos brought me so much joy this week!
Our missionary friends (who we sewed washable pads for ) finally made it back to the Ivory Coast.
2020 was quite the journey for them trying to get home to Oregon to be with a dying parent, trying to maneuver closed borders and such. It was a whirlwind.
But they are "home" and she shared a few photos on facebook that made me smile.
I love the woman with the cloth measuring tape around her neck. That's exactly what I do with mine!
Angelika says they are sewing clothing for their children.
With that I thought I better share a photo of the children!
They are precious in His sight!
Maybe in 1 year I'll be getting ready to go on my mission trip.
Have a joyous weekend!
Wonderful and I hope you do get to go on your mission trip!
ReplyDeletegreat pictures Lori - happy Friday
ReplyDeleteI needed this post today. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteVery special, Lori!
ReplyDeleteI do hope you are able to go on your mission trip sooner, rather than later. I purchased a few pieces of fabric on a sale table recently with "pillowcase dresses" in mind.
I certainly hope you will be able to go on your mission soon. It has been such a trying year for so many, I sometimes forget how lucky I am to have family nearby.
ReplyDeleteWhat great pictures. It’s rewarding to sew for your children. I LOVE the photo of the children. Precious indeed! I hope you can go on a trip again soon.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing those treadles in use! Timeless. I will make dresses for you whenever you are ready to go.
ReplyDeleteThose are such wonderful pictures. Beautiful children. I love it that we all have the love sewing, quilting and working with our hand and creating something for others. We are truly blessed.

ReplyDeleteWonderful post. So inspiring.
ReplyDeleteLovely! We had a speaker at our quilt guild who had been to Kenya to help women make appliquéd pictures that were then sent to the USA and finished as wall hangings. The women were paid and the pictures were sold here. Very inspiring to help women learn things that will help their families.
ReplyDeleteSuch good pictures! Hope things return to normal eventually and you get to go on your mission. It's really a shame so many things have been turned upside down in the past year.
ReplyDeletebeautiful pictures. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love all the beautiful fabrics that the ladies are working with , gorgeous colours and patterns ! love Debbie :)
ReplyDeleteThe children are precious! And the fabrics the women are wearing and sewing are just beautiful. I'd love to have a treadle some day! Yes, I hope you will be able to go on your mission sooner than later. Jan in MA
