Here are a few more varied projects I worked on over the weekend.
This is an oldie Birds in the Air. The next part to do is to make 1/2 blocks. There was too much brain power needed for me to figure that out at the retreat.
Here's a little mini in process I made using little orphan blocks and a few bits of new reproduction fabric from my sampler from Two Thimbles. We have a trip planned in a few weeks so I'll get it basted and bring it along for hand quilting. (Wyoming anyone?)
I got the last of my birds traced for machine applique.
I was focusing on the Anniversary quilt before picking this back up. I'm excited! I love this quilt!
Have worked on choosing fabric for the birds. Oh yes! These are my favs!
I hope your week is going great. The ice and snow storms in Portland kept Michelle a couple days longer. It was nice to have her stay over. Thankfully the roads are clear and the ice is melting.
I know many of you are experiencing crazy storms, dipping temps, and power outages.
Please be well, my friends!!
Looks like fun to me, Lori! So glad you had some sewing time!
ReplyDeleteYou are very busy !!
ReplyDeleteI especially love your top with triangles ! It's beautiful !
I love all your projects but my favorite is by far the birds. I'm still looking for the pattern. Stay warm and safe. Hugs, Cathy
ReplyDeleteThat’s a very pretty Birds in the Air. I’m excited for your birds. Those fabrics are my favorites!!
ReplyDeleteForget the half blocks. Just find a print that looks like that carpet and make setting triangles! LOL That's what I thought it was at first glance.
ReplyDeleteSweet little mini.
Love that birds in the air quilt top! Well actually the other projects too.
ReplyDeleteI so hope today is Thursday.... one more day until it warms up..... you know above freezing.... water has to be boiled.... and one needs a clean pot to do so..... what a week....
ReplyDeleteI thought the blocks were laid out on your fabric choice too! Lol. That deep green does look really good! Lots of loveliness in your post today 🧵
ReplyDeleteWe live in WY and love it here! Love to make small/wall/doll/mini quilts in reproduction CW fabrics!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to know where in WY you are!
DeleteNice projects! With great fabrics! I have lots of CW scraps that I could use to make something similar. But I'm trying to finish UFOs. I need to check my UFO list to see if I have any more to do (that I want to finish)! LOL!!
ReplyDeleteLove Birds in the Air. Does that quilt get an appliqued border?
ReplyDeleteLots of beautiful projects. Wonderful color assembly.
