Happy Day quilt friends!
I've got a few shares today.
Philine from Germany joined in our antique quilt block challenge and hers is complete!
I love everything about it!
Here's the block I sent her.
Janny shared with me a Kawandi quilt she has started.
She also shared a Youtube video with joe Cunningham and Margaret Fabrizio. It was great and if you have a little extra time you can see it HERE.
We always have room to learn more about quilting!
I rec'd an email the other day about a non profit in Orange County. Please read it about it below and help out if you felt led to. There are soo many worthy causes but I have a soft spot for our veterans. Isabelle's email address is below.
Good afternoon Lori,
Hope this note finds you well and enjoying your summer. As Chairwoman of the Orange County Veterans Employment Committee, I have been securing a vast array of donations for past several years to donate to the patients at the VA Hospital and Veteran Rehabilitation Senior Centers. The most requested item from Veteran patients are lap blankets and quilts since the hospital tends to be on the chilly side. That said, does Humble Quilts donate to organizations and if so, can you please advise how I might become a recipient to share with our Veterans.
Thank you Lori in advance for your consideration and if you have any questions, please let me know. Stay well, stay safe and look forward to hearing back from you, thanks again......!
If you'd like to see a few of my youtube videos check them out HERE. I hope to make a new one soon!Warm regards,

Philine's quilt is stunning! Love the colors, love the design, love that skinny strip of red near the top & bottom. Great job!
ReplyDeletePhiline's quilt is amazing! She really captured the spirit of the antique block. I took a Zoom workshop with Sujata Shah on Kawandi a year or so ago - it's so interesting and the method is so fun and meditative.
