We spent a bit of time circling the backroads of PA hitting quilt shops!
They were well stocked and staffed and several had good sales going on!
We are losing so many quilt shops here on the west coast- it is so good to see many busy stores. (I'm sure attendance at the quilt show helped that as well)
In no particular order:
Just a cute farm house.
Most quilts in antique stores were overpriced. Isn't this a beauty?!
The GPS didn't always take the most direct route! hahaha
Still smiling!
This was at the airport and reminded me of feather quilting.
What a lot of fun we had!
Dutch Blitz is so fun to play. We played it at our family Christmas gathering.
ReplyDeleteThis is a fun post. Thanks for sharing, Lori. ;^)
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed this post. So fun to see the quilt shops, antique quilts, and the countryside.
ReplyDeleteOur family also loves Dutch Blitz. And we have the expansion pack so lots of us can play at one time.
Glad you had such a great time. Everyone needs a break from humdrum life. It's good to get out and explore. Fantastic-looking quilt stores!
ReplyDeleteIt is sad that so many quilt stores are going out of business. At one time Whatcom County, WA had 7 quilt stores within 30 minutes of my house. They all had their own niche, so we could get most any fabric needed. Now we have only two in Lynden and one an hour away, in Wickersham. This one use to be in Lynden.. Most owners retired and one went on line only. Luckily there are 3 stores an hour away in Mt.Vernon and Anacortes.
