Eagle Inspiration Part 1

"American Pride"
Antique Quilts from the collection of Pat & Arlan Christ

I was so excited to see this special exhibit at the Lancaster quilt show and I was not disappointed!

Perfect and humble in every way! This was the oldest eagle quilt in their collection. I bought a one page pattern for it and can't wait to use it somehow this year!

I love the humble border vine!

A bold coverlet!

Eagles in Philadelphia.

We made a side trip to Valley Forge!

More to come!

Out and About in PA

We spent a bit of time circling the backroads of PA hitting quilt shops!

They were well stocked and staffed and several had good sales going on!
We are losing so many quilt shops here on the west coast- it is so good to see many busy stores. (I'm sure attendance at the quilt show helped that as well)

In no particular order:

Just a cute farm house.

Most quilts in antique stores were overpriced. Isn't this a beauty?!

The GPS didn't always take the most direct route! hahaha

Still smiling!

This was at the airport and reminded me of feather quilting.

What a lot of fun we had!
