Juliann donated a UFO to Faith Seeds and I'll be working on that off and on. It is the Bible Quilt from Jan Patek. She has a lot of it completed or basted and ready to stitch. My hand applique needs a bit of work- thankfully this is primitive! Thanks again, friend!!
I've made this before and smile seeing it at my niece's home. My previous one can be seen HERE.
A quilt shop I stopped at this past week while in Arizona. This is in Camp Verde.
I've been MIA
I had a lovely week in Arizona. The last half of the week the weather was pretty fickle, but it made for some nice photos.
I got the opportunity to do a short hike in the Grand Canyon!!
Even though it was short the first half was down, down, down and so the last half was up, up, up!
My daughter and I have been meeting to hike as we prepare to summit Mount Saint Helens.
The McNeil Point shelter was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in the 1930s as part of the Timberline Trail network, intended to be a resting and camping spot for hikers.
My first time hiking to an alpine shelter.
We will have one more big hike before the summit on the 19th!
I'm eeking out as much summer as I possible can!
Have a wonderful week!
The Bible quilt is lovely, yours from all those years ago and Juliann's donated version. I'm making Jan Patek's Noah's Ark this summer and some of the animals are so familiar. I may have to sneak your Adam and Eve to be Noah and Mrs Noah as my pattern has no people. Didn't think of them till now. Will you auction the finished quilt? Maybe a raffle?
ReplyDeleteArizona looks beautiful. I had family there for while and was so entranced by the oh so different scenery. Sculpted by unimaginable eons of time! Never got to visit tho, the heat and fires sent them right back to Ohio, lol.
Best wishes for a successful Mt St Helen's summit! Good to see Rene looking so well.

So happy to see your daughter's recovery and that she's up for such adventures! Sounds like good times for you.
