Porch Quilt Part 7


Here's my latest section of Jan Patek's Porch Quilt.

I can't say I'm head over heels about it, but hopefully when the whole quilt is together and quilted I'll love it. (If not, it will make a great gift!)


Here are Cathy S parts. I love hers!

The only part left to do is the sail boat and whales. Let's finish up this quilt! The finale to be shown right after the first of the year. 

I've purchased Fall Festival by Jan Patek to work on in 2017. 

I think she has been doing it as a BOM in 2016. I've found the pattern in Etsy for a little lower than Jan's site.

    I love your bicycle. I wasn't able to work on mine because of family commitments. Did you end up adding a seam allowance to the wheels or did the template already seam allowances added. I started on it but didn't get very far. Hugs

    Even though I wasn't crazy about the bike I still love this quilt. Yours looks great! We are in the home stretch!! I'll miss working on Fall Festival with you. I have 3 more blocks to do and I'll be done with mine.

    Love your bicycle, the curve of the frame is so smooth! Love your watermelons also. I think you will love it when finished.

    On its own the bike doesn't look like it will blend well in the quilt, to me. But when I see it all together I don't question at all that it belongs.

    I think it's very cute! I still am stuck on the watermelon blocks--need to sew them down and then catch up.
    it'll be cute once it's done!

    I love the colors of your bicycle and Cathy S' -- this block has been my favorite from the very beginning and it's great fun to see everyone's interpretation. I hope it remains my favorite AFTER I put it together! I'm still behind and I need to get caught up... BUT that will not stop me from trying to participate in Fall Festival! Ordered the pattern today!

    Love the bicycle! It's so true that if we don't 'love' something, then it really does make it easy to gift. It's the journey that we're addicted to I think.:) Just too much fun to 'make'!

    Just got all caught up last night! I'm glad I stuck with the bicycle! Fall Festival is so tempting! I'm also planning on doing Jan Patek's Winter Quilt.... but I can do both right? ;). I really enjoy your sew alongs. Now on to the sailboat....

    To me, the bicycle is what I think of when I recall how the quilt design looks. Somewhat of a challenge to do for sure. I see you have a few takers on your next sew along pattern choice.

    I hope to get my Porch quilt finished after Christmas. I wasn't planning on joining in on any Sew Alongs in 2017 or purchasing any new patterns. However, I love the quilt you are planning to do is one of my favorites. I happened to get the pattern at a really good price so I guess I'm in....lol Hugs
