More Rain!

Years ago Rain came to Bend and I happened to be out of town so my hubby and son went and loved it! Finally they have come back the Pacific Northwest and we are going! I'll let you know how it was on Friday's blog post.

Sorry if my blog post sounded whiney yesterday, I was a bit bummed, but in the grand scheme of life it is nothing. My heart is full. Thank you all for your kind and encouraging comments.

  1. We saw Rain a few years ago, and it was great! It made me realize that it isn't hard to copy an artist. What made the Beetles great was their song writing and the sound they came up with. I am too young to have ever seen them in person, but Rain was the next best thing. The audience was mostly people who were older than me, but they yelled and cheered and got up to dance as if they were teenagers again. So much fun!

  2. I didn't detect any wines from yesterday or day before. I even went back and re-read the posts. I have not seen rain but I grew up with the Beatles. Showing my age here lol.

    Have a great day!

  3. You have every right to whine once and a while -- I agree that getting guilds to commit to speakers is a tough sell. I have spoken to fewer than ten since my book came out in 2016. It didn't help that AQS quit promoting the book within a few months as they decided to quit publishing new quilt books - bad timing and all that. Wish you could come near Memphis . . .

  4. Ha ha I had until now never heard of Rain. I "knew" Elvis, Beach Boys, Jr Walker &All Stars, 'Little Richard, Supremes, So much MoTown, Jan & Dean, sonny & Cher, Bope Hope (in every war zone)
Frank Sanatra, Bing Crosby, so many great musicians and a whole range of styles.

Whining (?) good for you we all like to know you are human and stuff happens then gosh you get over it or take action thanks you

  5. We're your friends, it is fine to share disappointments with us, life is not perfect. You were not whining, just seemed a bit down and discouraged. Sending you a hug and hope for happier days.

    love
