Friday I had a hair appointment with my daughter in Portland so I thought I'd do a little side trip while I was in town. I went to Battle Ground, WA hoping to go to Primitive Thimble Quilt Shop. The brick church they were supposed to be in was empty and there was a "for rent" sign out front. If they moved I didn't see any signs.
Since I was jut a few miles from Country Manor I thought I'd buzz over and see what I could find. Oh my goodness! That place had more fabric piled up then I remember from my last trip!!
I did hit Fabric Depot in Portland too and found a few goodies. Carolyn (who accidentally has called me Anita on her blog- you can call me anything you'd like as long as it's not a swear word) suggested I use a Hera Marker to score lines and really I had looked for one in the past but forgotten all about it. I was so excited because it really does work!
I am going to try this hera marker marking for my hand quilting and see how I like
ReplyDeleteI have tried it before and felt I couldn't really see the line
I need to give it another chance
Lucky friend , looks like a few treasures in there.

good prices????

Looks like you had a nice little trip! I've been thinking about getting one of those hera markers and you have convinced me!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a fun time shopping (then again, looking at fabric is always fun haha) I'm heading back to oregon next week, so I'm going to look for one of those hera markers. It looks like it works great!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great day shopping! I have heard good things about the hera marker, but I've never tried it. I guess it's something I should add to my wish list.
