Here's my bedroom, getting prepped for new carpet. Guess where some of the furniture is residing?
In my sewing room! Now, I'm not only still having lots of summer fun, but it would be hard to sew if I wanted to. Be patient and I'll be back soon!
PS- I've got a pattern for our next doll quilt sew along! I hope many of you will join me this fall.
YIPPEE!...happy to hear you have another quilt along idea! Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteAre you currently sleeping standing up? : )
ReplyDeleteNot much sewing going on at my house either. Summer is just too busy! New carpet sounds nice. :0) I look forward to your fall quiltalong!!
ReplyDeleteNot much room to move around in that room. I look forward to seeing what your next sew along will be.
ReplyDeleteYikes! I hope the carpet gets in today so you can have a bed tonight. :)
ReplyDeleteI surely do like the eagle quilt on your bedroom wall and the floral design on the sewing room wall. Both look so much like your style.
ReplyDeleteI too love these!
DeleteCan't wait to see the new carpeting!!!
ReplyDeleteIt will all be worth it. Can't wait to see the doll.

Well, you just answered a question I was asking myself this weekend. My son moved out, taking his bedroom furniture with him and I bought a new bed and chest on Saturday. AFTER I moved it all into the room my husband berated me for not waiting for paint and new carpet. (Hey, the lady was moving and it was good stuff at a cheap price so I had to make a hasty decision). So, my question was, do I have to move the furniture out to get the carpet installed? I take it the answer is yes. Darn. I am sure we can cover what little is there and paint but I suppose I have to m-o-v-e it all out for the carpet. And then I want to put the same stuff in my room...
ReplyDeleteGreat time of the year to do that when summer is calling.
ReplyDeletePerfect time to get it done. Once summer is over there is plenty of time for quilty projects.
ReplyDeleteLove the quilt on your wall!
ReplyDeletenew carpeting~! yipppeee
ReplyDeletethat happens with my studio too. if we need someplace for "the overflow" it seems that it can easily be popped into there. my solution: stitching all over the rest of the house. lol
can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve for the fall quilt-along.

I love your quilts on the wall. Beautiful. Can't wait for the next sew a long. Hugs
ReplyDeleteChange is good! It's the prep work that gets in the way... nice to see a glimpse of your sewing room! Looking forward to the next doll quilt... still have Harmony in pattern form only... need more hours in a day, days in the week, etc. etc. etc...
ReplyDeleteI'm ready for a new quiltalong. Looking forward to it. On my list of UFOs are 2 or 3 of yours that I just have to finish. They're too much fun to leave in a box or on a shelf, unfinished and ignored. I'd like to be able to say I've finished 100% of your creations.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy that new carpet!
