Mary Elizabeth Kinch posted her liberated basket quilt (from a Gwen Marston class) on Instagram and I mentioned I had one unfinished too. So she asked if I wanted to join her and her friend Susan to get it completed by the end of February. Mine is all basted and ready to quilt so I feel a little like I'm cheating. LOL Anybody want to play along? Use the hashtag #finishthatbasketquilt on Instagram! Nothing like a little encouragement to get me moving!!
Here's my instagram feed if you missed it this week!
Have a lovely weekend!!
Was there a pattern or just free cut? I have some similar baskets languishing in my sewing room
ReplyDeleteI thought about joining it but decided it wouldn't be fair. I had my version of the baskets from BIQR 2007 machine quilted during the summer and it's just waiting for binding. I made all of my baskets different, making them up as I went along.
ReplyDeleteSweet quilt. Love it and I look forward to seeing them all in February.
ReplyDeleteThat is a fun quilt to use with scraps, I have lots of basket patterns, so one day I will do one for fun.
