High Desert Baskets

Here is the other quilt that Sharon quilted for me. I'm calling it High Desert Baskets. Wendy, from Legends and Lace shared these challenging basket blocks some time ago. I see she is doing another monthly BOM called red and green. Check it out HERE.
While trimming it to prep it for the binding I had to take a close look to see if I had appliqued by hand or machine! LOL It was machine, btw.
This lovely traditional wreath is on the setting squares. I'm usually sewing on the weekend but my kids are here and my son leaves next Monday (the 1st ) for his world travels. I want  to spend as much time as possible with him while he is here. There will be time to sew.....next weekend!
I won a give away from Gayle, The Middle Sister blog. Thank you Gayle! I just love it!!!

Let's make it a terrific week!

  5. Joining the pieced and applique blocks together made not only a very pretty quilt but also a very usable size. The quilting is the ribbon on the package.
