NW Quilt Expo and Book Giveaway

I had a busy weekend which included the  NW Quilting Expo in Portland. My half marathon was very nearby so it was all pretty convenient.
This cow looking through the window was one of my favorites. My mom and stepdad had a ranch with cows and many of them had to be bottle fed, I understand the looking in the house!! Lol

The quilt maker is Rosemary Burris from Portland.

Loved this pieced armadillo.

My son recognized grumpy cat right away. I have no idea what that's about, but it was pretty silly,

I drew a name for Birds in the Air and Janet O of Rogue Quilter blog will be receiving her own copy. Thank you to all who entered and Frances for giving away a copy.

More great photos to come this week!

  2. The armadillo is pretty realistic looking. We used to see a mama and her babies living nxt door to us. I like the way the quilt maker created the creature.

  3. The armadillo quilt is great - I'm going to send one of my quilting buddies in Texas the link as the armadillo is the state animal. I love the cow quilt a lot too!

  6. Three amazing, yet incredibly different, animal quilts. The first one is so real. The piecing on the second one is mind boggling, and the third one? Grumpy cat--is it some YouTube thing?
I am excited to have won your book giveaway. Thanks, Lori!

  11. Congrats, Janet O! She's lucky today. Glad you could attend the EXPO. I went last year. It's too close to Trends and I can't do back to back long trips like I used to do. Getting old isn't for Sissy's.

  14. All the quilts are great but the cow in the window is amazing. There's so much detail it almost looks more like a painting than fabric! Thanks for sharing.
