Here are a few of my top picks for the Genesee Valley Quiltfest in Rochester, NY from last weekend.
I wouldn't have used that green and the various madders, but it really works!
This was a favorite of mine.
I really enjoyed this display by the quilt club. Look at them all!
So adorable!
I hope you've been inspired by a quilt or two shown here.
Have a wonderful week!
Preciosas cada una de los quilts. Me han encantado. Un beso
ReplyDeletelooks like an amazing show! I wonder how far it is from me here in CT.
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing Christine's quilt. She is a fabulous quilter and such a nice lady
I like the floral quilt a lot but the basket quilt is the best. The quilting itself is beautiful. And the color combination striking. Must be a very good quilt show.
ReplyDeleteLori gracias por compartir!!
ReplyDeleteme encantan todas, pero la primera flores aplicaciĆ³n, fabulosa
Lori,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the show! Your picks were all wonderful. I love the quilting, I'm always inspired with such gorgeous samples. Love the display of Childrens sewing machines.
Wow! They are all winners! Ever single one. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI sure liked your picks :0) That Believe? quilt was handquilted!! Beautiful! Thanks for the close ups of the quilting on that first basket quilt - lovely!

ReplyDeleteI don't think I've seen little machines like those before. That is quite a display!
Such wonderful quilts!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully inspiring quilts--thanks for the tour Hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteWonderful, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWow! The poppies are my favorite! Absolutely stunning1 As if the flowers weren't enough, the background really adds so much more interest! :-)
ReplyDeleteI like the hexie one too.... and I've always admired that Jo Morton quilt! Funny thing is I have that as a "gathered BOM" from about 2010? I think I should dust it off and get stitching on it! :-)
Have a great week!
Wow! What a quilt show! Must have been really had to pick favorites. I love thos tiny baskets and the quilting on that is truly amazing! I'm a sucker for nine patches so that is also a favorite. Beautiful show! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThose are some special quilts. Thanks, Lori
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this great gallery of quilts! Always love the LeMoyne star. I'm especially impressed by Jean Lemmon's floral hexagon quilt--the fussy cutting, bold broderie perse medallion, nice quilting, and that hexagon border are all standout details!
ReplyDeleteLori, you saw some GREAT quilts! Looks like that was a fabulous show! I think my favorites are the first one with all the applique and the one made for ALS (interesting that the first two pictures show the background as white; the close up shows it as yellow!). Hope she got a lot of money for that great cause!
ReplyDeleteGreat pix! Thanks for taking the time to post them! I liked your favorite a lot too! Imagine making that a donation quilt! Wow, I would have bought a bunched of tickets! Beautiful! And the dedication! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous quilting!
