Stars Quiltalong

Cecile and Bea are doing their yearly quiltalong. This year the theme is stars, so I jumped on the bandwagon for my firs time joining in on it.

Christy was working on her star blocks at our retreat and I was too.

Here's will be a lovely patriotic quilt!!

My blocks will finish at 4" and I'm trying to use the reproduction neons, although I"m faking it on a few blocks, cause I don't have enough neon.

The minimum blocks to make is 16. Mine are making a fun leader/ender project.

I got binding on 3 quilts this weekend and will soon have my first finish of 2020!!
Whoop! Whoop!

I'm going to be hiking as much as I can in preparation for trekking in Peru.

It felt like spring on Saturday...

back to cold and chilly Sunday...

Regardless of your weather, make it a fantastic week!

  1. We had a sunny Friday afternoon and Sunday afternoon so I was able to get in some nice walks but mostly it’s just rain, rain, rain around here.

  3. Fun stars! We've had a strange winter here, one day snowy and frigid, and a couple days later its sunny and in the 40s and 50s. It will be good to see the first daffodils emerge.

  5. Neon stars - what a brilliant idea! (pardon the pun) Lori, email me your mailing addy and I'll send you some neons. I have a nice stack I've been collecting and will gladly share with you. Meanwhile maybe I'll make some neon stars of my own... :-)

  12. Neon Stars! Color me [neon] green with envy. Those prints are so hard to find. And will make a beautifully antique looking quilt. Did you see Nancy's post on Joy for Grace blog, where she used neon/ bright permanent fabric markers to add neon to her Cheddarback fabrics. Very cool results.
