My design wall isn't very big, but I've managed to get a few more blocks ready to piece! I think I have 2 more to finish appliqueing then I'll start getting the top together. I still have corner buds to figure out...but hey! it's something! (my background fabric is not pink like the photo leads you to believe)
If you want to learn more about this quilt you can HERE. It is sponsored by The Virginia Quilt Museum.
I'm making a small quilt for a swapper who may have gotten the raw end of the stick.
My heart is sad this week. My black friends and family are hurting. I'm standing next to them in support and won't be silent any more. (This does not mean I condone rioting or looting!)
If you aren’t
part of the solution, then you are part of the problem.
Much love to all.
I agree wholeheartedly! Love your quilt!
ReplyDeleteIt's such a cool quilt and great to support a quilt museum. I agree with your sentiments, completely! I feel like this is a time to really listen and learn/unlearn.... and find a way to take some action.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more Lori. Hugs!
ReplyDeletePretty blocks! I totally agree too...
ReplyDeleteThe rioters and looters aren't protesters, they are just latching onto the event to commit crimes. Peaceful protest is a necessary thing for our country (and everywhere else, too). It's sad that a few bad apples cause such pain for so many.
ReplyDeleteSo close to a finish with the blocks! Good for you moving things forward.:)
ReplyDeleteWonderful quilt Lori, love the traditional pattern.
