I'm working on the final border!
It is slow going since my sewing room is so chilly.
Next weekend I am getting together with friends for a sewing retreat. This quilt top will be completed and backing made!
I'm preparing to do another string class with a guild and you can join in! Find the link to Columbia River Gorge Quilters Guild HERE.
I think I shared the link to the Iowa Quilt Museum special exhibit "String Theory"
It was just a sneak peak. Now you can purchase a look at all of the quilts! Angie shared the link and I LOVED the quilt show with information on each quilt. You can find that link HERE.
Ya'll have a great weekend!
Much love
Your borders are coming along nicely. I can't wait to see the whole quilt. Hugs
ReplyDeleteLove the border shapes--so evocative..nice work hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteLove your borders! The second photo can be your Porter with your husband! A tiny secret tribute. By my estimate, your 6 yards of stripe homespun may not be enough backing???Are you handquillting? Maybe throw some additional add-ons in your sewing suitcase. How fun to have a retreat to look forward to.
ReplyDeleteI have a small, special-invite retreat next weekend too! Your Anniversary Quilt is coming along beautifully!
ReplyDeleteHi -- love your blog. The borders on you prim quilt are adorable. My sewing room is in the lower level of our house and is often chilly. My husband purchased a $40 space heater that heats a 400 sq ft room and it makes it very cozy. It is identified by energy efficient.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea! One I hadn't thought of.
